With the 3rd pick in the 2008 NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons select Boston College Quarterback Matt Ryan!

You don't get many chances to build around a franchise quarterback.  While Atlanta probably SHOULD have taken Glenn Dorsey, with Ryan came a chance to move on after the Michael Vick debacle.  (or Debacled, if you will).

Now, Ryan has some question marks.  His arm is not as strong as it should be, he played weak teams at BC, and the fine tradition of Quarterbacks from Cherry Hill.

Atlanta addressed a big hole, yes, but with all their second and third round picks, I think Glenn Dorsey and Joe Flacco or Brian Brohm would have been a better combination.

In our SB Nation Mock Draft, we had Ryan going to Baltimore, a team that suddenly has to re-think the first round.
