Atlanta's Matt Ryan Signs
The Falcons have signed the second of thirty-one picks from the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Ryan will receive a six-year deal worth $72 million and $34.75 million in guarantees.
The first quarterback taken in 2007, Oakland's Jamarcus Russell, was the first overall pick and received $32 million in guarantees.
The #1 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, Jake Long, signed a five-year, $57.75 million deal with the Miami Dolphins before the draft began.

I wonder if owners are ever naive enough to wonder why salaries are going up and up?
Can the Falcons honestly say that right now Ryan is a top 5 QB, because they just paid as if he were.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
