Dolphins
I can see why you have the Dolphins at 3-13. And I won’t argue that.
However, I don’t think they will start off 0-9. More than any other team in the NFL, the Dolphins need to get that first win under their belt sooner rather than later. If they start out 0-9, the fans will turn on the team and the players will start having flashbacks to last season. Not good.
I think they get one of the first two games, likely the opener at home against the Jets. No, the Dolphins aren’t better than the Jets. But in Miami in early September will be tough for any team, especially against a desperate team like the Dolphins (yes, in week 1, the Dolphins are a desperate team).
That’s my 2 cents.
Regardless, nice work on this.

Agreed
They badly need a win early on. My feelings are the Jason Taylor saga and QB competition will render them inable to jump out to a fast start. However, I could see a fired up Dolphins team beating the Jets early on.

NFC predictions
I’m not looking forward to the NFC predictions considering that you’ve got the Cards going 1-3 against the AFC East.
I definitely like the Steelers prediction though, I wouldn’t have gone as high as 11-5 but it’s nice to see.

NFC
The predictions are done, and I’ll tell you they were not easy.

Deal!
Too high or too low? I need another left arm, though.

Nice.
I think 9-7 is fair for the Broncos (I have 8-8 as their floor and11-5 as their ceiling, but I’m a fan) and it’s nice to see that puts us in the thick of a Wild Card birth! As a team full of young starters at key positions, we could use that experience moving forward; as a fan, it pumps me up to think that just a bit of luck should get us there.
To tell you the truth, I was surprised by the lack of a playoff prediction. I’d like for the Jags to win it all this year, but so long as it isn’t the Pats or Chargers, I’d be pleased. It’d be cool for the Steelers to win another, so long as the refs don’t help this time!

Ravens Schedule
I am aware that my Ravens schedule is a lot harder than last year’s. However, if they stay healthy and don’t lose both starting CB’s like last year, they will be a heck of a lot better. Remember, their defense may actually be better than last year, which is scary. Besides, their offense can’t be any worse, which is probably why you have them improving to 7-9. At the same time, being their fan and blogger, I have them at 8-8 at worst and 10-6 at best, regardless who ends up taking the snaps behind center. Thanks,

Playoffs?
So, it’s Jags v. Billrowncos and Pats v. Steelers to open up the AFC playoffs? Followed by the Jags playing a rubber match against the Colts and the Steelers visiting the Bolts in the second round. If that’s the case, I’m gonna go with the Jags and Steelers facing off for the Championship and Jax winning it all for the AFC in the Super Bowl. Did I get that right? Prolly not, but it sure was fun!

Playoffs
Okay, so I’m a bit of a nerd, but that’s why I write about this stuff. To answer your question, given Matt’s season predictions come true, here is how the seeding would look:
1. San Diego Chargers (AFC West Champs, best record overall AFC)
2. Indianapolis Colts (AFC South Champs by virtue of a better division record than Jacksonville, head-to-head tie breaker with New England)
3. New England Patriots (AFC East Champs)
4. Pittsburgh Steelers (AFC North Champs)
5. Jacksonville Jaguars (2nd place AFC South, top wild card)
6. Cleveland Browns (2nd place AFC North, wild card by virtue of 2-0 record versus Broncos and Bills)
After Matt has posted the NFC breakdown, I’ll be doing a playoff prediction based on his predictions.

Thanks!
It’s a shame that the Jags would have the toughest road to the Super Bowl in this scenario, with road games throughout barring an improbable Browns run.

houston wont be 7-9
i dont feel like they will take a step back from a promising 8 -8 season. they were hit with injuries to their top reciever, top QB, and thier veteran RB and pulled off an .500 season. not only did they get their young WRs some game experience they also went out and grabbed some of the best assistant coaches. ray rhodes is still a DB guru and they are implimenting the zone blocking scheme from the master coach Gibbs. maybe you meant to say 9-7.

Agreed (buy I'm biased)
We are also hoping to drop the title of Most Players on IR which we have held for 2 consecutive seasons.

Possibly
A two game swing isn’t much in today’s NFL. They are hoping a rookie LT and RB can come in and spark their offense. Also, just recently it’s been said Andre Johnson is going to be healthy enough for camp.
