Cowboys
You have 4 L’s and say they’re 13-3…. just a heads up…

14 wins
for a team with Tavaris Jackson at QB? Their running game was great and their D will be better with Allen, but 14?

+1
Seems to me like that team became every fan’s darling overnight since making the trade for Jared Allen. They’re good team, but their immense QB deficiencies will keep them from being great.

I actually like Tarvaris Jackson
He started to come on at the end of the season. But 14 wins? That is absurd.

my turn...
Some may seem laughable but here’s my take…
49ers 3-13 (Stop Gore, stop the niners)
Ravens 4-12 (Smith will do the best out of their QB, further complicating things)
Bears 4-12 (The only positive: Forte will be better than Benson)
Dolphins 4-12 (Much better than last season but a long way to go)
Falcons 5-11 (Ryan and Turner can only do so much, need more talent)
Panthers 5-11 (If Delhomme goes down… they want their 1st rounder back)
Jets 5-11 (Clemens not the answer either)
Raiders 5-11 (Should have drafted Dorsey…)
Redskins 5-11 (in a tough division, low man on the totem pole)
Lions 6-10 (progress for Millen’s kittens)
Titans 6-10 (Vince is going backwards because he can’t throw the ball)
Chiefs 7-9 (If they win 7, Croyle will have to play decent and LJ stay healthy)
Buccaneers 7-9 (Garcia can’t do it two years in a row)
Vikings 7-9 (AP can’t stay healthy so teams load up to stop Chester, poor Tavaris)
Bengals 8-8 (Palmer breaks out, again)
Jaguars 8-8 (Tough division, and not enough depth)
Seahawks 8-8 (Are they really banking on those RB’s?)
Browns 8-8 (Last year was magic, this year is more realistic)
Broncos 9-7 (They take advantage of playing the Raiders and Chiefs)
Rams 9-7 (If Bulger stay upright they will score a lot of points)
Steelers 9-7 (Mendenhall and Parker will be a good combo)
Eagles 10-6 (Westbrook will have an MVP type year)
Bills 10-6 (will play above their heads similar to Browns last season)
Texans 10-6 (Finally leave cellar of toughest division and move up right behind Indy)
Cardinals 10-6 (Finally play up to talent level and Edge has really good year)
Giants 11-5 (Eli plays great but running game not as good as last year)
Packers 11-5 (Rodgers does enough to not lose and defense looks really good)
Chargers 11-5 (Injuries…. and they still win 11 games)
Saints 12-4 (Defense drastically improves, Meacham compliments Colston)
Cowboys 12-4 (Teams still throw deep on Roy)
Patriots 13-3 (Secondary is the weak link but not too weak)
Colts 14-2 (Harrison comes back, Freeney comes back, Indianapolis wins…)

Secondly
I don’t see us splitting every single series with our NFC East opponents. I can see us splitting the series with the Eagles, but we should win both games against the Skins and probably both games against the Giants.

Seattle
Matt, I thought you were a 9ers fan, not a Seahawk fan? I hate the Cowboys, but you really think they’ll lose at home on Thanksgiving Day? Seattle already doesn’t travel well and now they have an extra short week. Then a win against the Pats. I guess you’re taking into account that NE will have to fly all the way across the US to play and they’ll be alittle travel weary.

Packers 6-10?
They have a pretty solid young defense, and if they continue to have the running game they found at the end of last year, Rodgers won’t have to be Brett Favre. He’ll just have to be average for a little while.

Yep
and if they
Really banking on their running game not regressing. Also, the defensive line will need to play above it’s head to replace Corey Williams.

Rodgers will be a good QB this year, not great. He does have far more playmakers around him than any other team in the North, so if he can play to his strengths and lean on McCarthy (best QB coach in NFL) who helped Favre a ton the last two years he will do well enough for the Packers win the North!
Corey Williams was a good player, very average vs. run, above average pass rush. He wasn’t even a starter last year until injuries hit DT. Grant should put up very good numbers rushing the ball. The OL is getting better, so his hole will still be there. If you play 8 in the box to stop Grant, its inviting Rodgers to make you pay. In those situations, Rodgers will excel. If forced to make plays to win he’ll struggle!
