Draft notes

Most are considering Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree the top choice for the Seahawks. But as the Seattle Post-Intelligencer writes, maybe that shouldn't be the case. The team has had a spotty drafting history with wide receivers, taking Joey Galloway in 1995 and Koren Robinson in 2001. The team also traded it's 2007 first rounder for Deion Branch, who has produced little in Seattle. Some think an offensive lineman would be a better option.

Boston College defensive tackle BJ Raji really turned heads at Senior Bowl practice this week. Some around the Internet are considering him a possible top 10 pick in April. I'm not so sure, yet. Look for the Mocking the Draft scouting report on Raji early next week.

Draft gurus are mixed on who is the No. 1 prospect.

One of the toughest projections in this year's draft is San Francisco, which has the No. 10 pick. Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee checks in with three prospects from the Senior Bowl the team should consider.

The biggest knock on Ole Miss left tackle Michael Oher is his inconsistent effort. However, at Senior Bowl practices, Oher was the top tackle there, which more than likely improved his stock.

If Matt Hasselback is the QB, the pick has to be an O-lineman. If he’s your investment, you have to do a better job of keeping him upright. And it’d be nice to run the ball occasionally as well.
