What are your teams needs?
Eagles fan here from over at Bleeding Green Nation and instead of making a mock and predicting who i think will go where and to what team, I wanted to know what you guys think is the most pressing need of your team. I'll start it off with my team.
I have seen many different positions being mocked to my beloved Iggles in the first, most notably LB, O-Line, and DE. I don't think we will go O-Line in the first considering that we got Stacy Andrews and Jason Peters in the offseason and just this past week signed Winston Justice to an extension to be our RT for the next couple of years, because Shawn Andrews is just a mess and nobody knows what is going to happen with him. I believe the most pressing need is at Linebacker. Any Eagles fan knows how big of a loss Stewart Bradley was in Training camp and we have not been able to replace that physical presence that he brings. I see the Eagles either drafting a Strong side Linebacker to replace Chris Gocong or an Inside Linebacker and moving Bradley to the Strong side where he is probably better suited to play.

Seahawks:
Not exactly round-by-round, but listed in rough priority
1. Long-term answer at QB (may come via free agency/trade )
2. Offensive tackle (left or right)
3a. Running back (potential starter or depth—good in the passing game)
3b. Defensive tackle (either a 3-tech or 1-tech, depending on whether they want to move Mebane back to the 1-tech or keep him at the 3-tech)
4. Defensive end (to play opposite Lawrence Jackson, who is good vs the run)
5. Safety (depth w/ potential to start)

Free Agency QBs
suck big time.
Best of the lot is Chad Pennington, which should tell you about the talent available. Teams looking for a franchise QB are either gonna have to give up something big or pick him in draft.
i saw somewhere that people are predicting that you guys get bradford

Lions
Everything! JK
1. LT Jeff Backus sucks and Stafford needs to be protected if we want him to develop.
2. DE and DT
3. Two corners
4. Left guard, I dont know if Backus can play guard. Many people with connections to the Lions organization say he just dont have the strength,
5. Safety we drafted Delmas last year and he’s been great. But we have used 4 other safetys next to him.
6. RB to compliment Kevin Smith
This is a long list and it is in no particular order.
watched the thanksgiving game
Delmas looks good, but the other Safety was awful.

Lions Needs Ordered
just in my opinion:
1. DT — We have absolutely NO interior pass rush, and Grady Jackson is 36. None of the Millen-drafted guys will likely be more than backups. Even when our DE’s get around the tackle, the QB has plenty of room in front of him to step up and deliver an ideal throw.
Our other starter, Sammie Hill, looks pretty good, but we need somebody next to him.
2. CB — We have a bunch of old guys, injured guys, and cast-offs from other teams playing the CB position right now. There’s a reason why every QB and #1 WR seem to have a field day against us.
3. LG — Bigger need than LT. While Backus is consistently mediocre at LT, at least he’s consistent (and durable!). The LG position has been a revolving door, and if we put a really good, mauling guard in there, I believe we’d see improvements from the veterans on either side of him, Backus and Raiola, almost immediately.
4. LT — We are going to need to replace Backus sooner or later, though, and hopefully get a big upgrade at the same time.
5. S — We need somebody who can play next to Delmas. We have a hole here right now, but maybe it can be filled by one of our guys coming back from IR next year.
6. WR — Like the safety position, we have one very good player and a bunch of nobody’s next to him. We need a WR threat as a compliment to Calvin Johnson, and I just don’t see Bryant Johnson and Dennis Northcutt being that guy.
7. DE — Among Jared DeVries, Jason Hunter, DeWayne White, and Cliff Avril, we have solid depth at this position, but no real standouts. I wouldn’t be opposed to spending draft capital on a good pass-rusher, but I don’t think it’s as big a need as DT. If we had just an “average” pass rush from our DT’s, you would see our DE’s get a lot more pressure.
8. RB — We’re pretty good at RB. Kevin Smith carries the load. Aaron Brown is our speedy end-around guy, Jerome Felton can power forward for a few yards from the fullback position. Maurice Morris has been okay as a backup, but he’s getting up there in age, and I’d really like to see another good RB who can share the load with Smith.
Colts:
1. OT (either side since Charlie Johnson is a ok, but not great LT)
2. MLB (Gary Brackett will be a 30 year old free agent this offseason)
3. S (not a need if both Bethea and Bullitt are brought back)
Could be improved: G, DE, DT, OLB
Pretty much set: QB, RB, WR, TE, C, CB
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.
+1
I would probably flip flop MLB and S, but OL is #1 by far. Polian doesn’t usually go for LBs early and if Brackett is re-signed it will be round 3 at the earliest. I think the value plays more toward an OT like Anthony Davis being the first round pick and hope Myron Lewis falls to us in the 2nd.
Colts do love skill position players though, so don’t be totally blindsided if they do grab a TE in round 1.
by invisibulman on Nov 30, 2009 4:59 PM EST up reply actions
I won’t try to guess what Polian is thinking, but I WOULD be blindsided if they went for a TE in the first round.
For one reason, Santi has shown potential. Second, when Gonzalez comes back we’re going to have a hard time getting all of our talented WRs on the field, and you don’t fix that problem by drafting another TE. There’s already so much talk about how are they going to sit Garcon when Gonzalez comes back and if they draft a TE, they’ll only be able to keep two WRs on the field w/a two TE set. Doesn’t make sense to me. I realize they wouldn’t have to play a 2 TE set all the time, but if you have such talented WRs, why not use them? And why draft someone in the first round if you don’t plan on using them?
I admit it is a long shot...
…and the emergence of Tom Santi probably quashes the possibility entirely, but the Colts history of taking skill position players in the first round is well documented. I’m certainly not advocating a TE (give me linemen, PLEASE!!!), but if Jermaine Gresham somehow falls to the end of round one the Colts will at least consider him.

though the blocking is shit too.
I’ll toss in the player I always want, but the Colts apparently have no interest in, an athletic FB with hands. Brian Leonard, Jacob Hester, Peyton Hillis, every year there’s one that I want and the Colts never pull the trigger.

Bills
Gotta go with OT and QB as the two biggest needs. I’m not even sure which is more important. Why go get a QB if he is only going to get killed behind the slugs they have playing tackle now? After that….D-line and linebacker.
1a QB
1b OT
2 DT
3 LB
4 DE
No weekend spent pantsless is a wasted weekend.
The Bills will probably be drafting depending on who’s left on the board when they’re up. If Locker and Clausen are gone they’ll probably go LT and get a QB in the second round. If they’re still up they’ll probably go QB.
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.
by UZ on Nov 28, 2009 5:59 PM EST up reply actions
I’m surprised you put LB behind DT. On a list of pure needs, as in what positions Buffalo most needs to upgrade, LB has to be third overall. Although, based on position value, I’d rather Buffalo take advantage of the depth at DT or grab a DE big enough to anchor the left side of the 4-3 than a LB in the early rounds.
A second offensive lineman is an option even though I’d be happy with one early round guy.
WR is a need as well and one could be taken very high if it’s a best available situation.
Without position value or considering the deep and shallow positions in this draft, I’d go with:
1 – QB
2 – LT
3 – LB
4 – WR
5 – OG/OC
6 – DE
7 – DT
Taking position value into account, these are the positions I’d most like Buffalo to adress:
1 – QB
2 – LT
3 – DE
4 – DT
5 – LB
6 – WR
7 – OC/OG

Chiefs:
Biggest needs are C and RG, and a eventual replacement for Brian Waters would be nice as well. Also, we need a big time safety. General consensus among Chiefs fans seems to be that we should take Berry or Mays in the first and draft lineman with our 2nd rounders. Here is a more complete list.
1. Interior Line (C, RG)
2. S (Mike Brown has been bad this year, John McGraw is so-so)
3. NT (Ron Edwards has been alright, but not spectacular)
4. Speedy WR (Chambers has been good for this, but he is 30 and might not be back next year)
5. Power RB (Some have doubts whether Charles can take a whole season, although Haley seems to be a big fan of Kolby Smith)
6. Pass-rushing OLB (Replacement for Mike Vrabel, might not be as big of a need if Studebaker continues to play well)
I dont know if C and RG are a bigger need then safety
But this list is pretty dead on with the Chiefs needs.

I have Ronnie Brown, Micheal Turner, and Dwayne Bowe all on my fantasy team.
i actually think ajanzen has it right
i think that we as fans just have a harder time keying in on the weak link. safety is a much easier position to point fingers at.
i know the stats wont say so, but i believe that our defense has done a whole hell of a lot better than the offense. their stats are so skewed because we’re losing the TOP battle so our defense’s stats are a bit inflated. of course you have to figure the occasional big play in there, but generally speaking we’ve created little to no offense throughout the major portions of the game and a big part of that is our Oline interior. tackles have been serviceable as well as LG, but C and RG have been atrocious. rudy (center) has a tough time when we play 3-4 Ds, and whoever we have at RG (part of the problem) has a tough time when we play 4-3 teams. i think substantial upgrades in these two positions would have a more dramatic effect on the team than getting a safety at this point in time.
now, that all said, in no way do i believe that we will go C or G in the first round with a high pick like we’re sure to have. these positions can be found later (which is how pioli seems to like to build his lines). so i think our needs list and our projected draft will look differently in this instance. just my opinion :)
if rhymes were valiums, i'd be comfortably numb
I wouldnt disagree with that at all
I was just saying it could be argued. I think a G and C are a must in the 2-4 round. Somewhere in those areas. After watching Rudy today, C is a must in the 2nd round.

Na
Albert struggked earlly on but he has played good lately. He is still young too so I doubt they draft a LT. If they did they could play him inside but he does pretty good. He is definitly our best OLmen. O callahan has all but locked up the RT spot as well.
Alot of people think Albert is a natural G, Which is semi true because he played it in college, but he played OT all his life and only played G because D Brick had the LT spot locked up when he got to Virgina and Eugen Monroe couldnt play G because he lacked the strength to deal with 290+ interior linemen.

No way.
We have Brandon Albert, who we just drafted 2 years ago and is not horrible nor a bust.
See ya Later Larry Johnson, or now forever known as "2.7"
But he isn’t that good at LT. He would be better at RT or guard
by TheRealSlimShady on Dec 1, 2009 6:38 PM EST up reply actions
Yes, but.
He’s good enough to atleast get through this year so we dont waste a pick on LT. Wait til Waters is gone if your gonna move him from LT, then consider drafting or picking FA LT.
See ya Later Larry Johnson, or now forever known as "2.7"
He very well could develop into a great LT
but, he’s NOT a RT… he’s more of a finesse guy, not a mauler
IF anything, he’ll move to LG, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay at LT, and build the rest of the line
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
* Stats are for losers
Exactly right here
I fully expect him to stay at LT, but if he moves positions it should be to LG. I personally think there are too many holes to fill on the roster to move Albert when he has been doing fine after an early season slump.
I agree with you...
Albert needs to move inside. If we draft a LT w/ our first rounder we could move Albert to RG. Then, we should draft a C w/ a mid round pick. Maybe Tennant from Boston College in the 3rd. Last for the O-line I think we have to get a project G to replace Waters when he is gone. Also, he should probably have experience at C. I like Hudson (G, Florida St) to be taken in the 4th round. Also, one area Chiefs fans fail to ignore that needs to be address is the CB position. We need someone across from B Flowers, I don’t care what anyone says. I like this kid Kyle Wilson from Boise St to be used with our second 2nd rounder. Our first 2nd rounder should be used to address rush linebacker.

Dolphins
1) LBers! A stud ILB and 2 olbers one to immediatedly start and another to develop.
2) NT to start and take 60-65% of D’s snaps
3) A #1 wr
4) a stretch the field TE that can block
5) A FS that can cover a TE
Confidence breeds success, self-doubt breeds failure
Dolphins
1- WR; Ginn sucks. The Fins desperately need a wide-out with run after the catch ability, A Big play threat. Someone like Dez Bryant, Damien Williams, Arrelious Benn, or (my favorite) Golden Tate. Or if they’d rather sign someone in free agency, there’s plenty to choose from (Miles Austin and Vincent Jackson to name a few).
2- NT; Nose Tackle is the most important position in any 3-4 defense. Jason Ferguson is a free agent and is out for the season. His career may be over. Paul Soliai is nothing more than a great back-up. The Fins will probably fill this need in the draft. Terrence Cody or Dan Williams?
3- ILB; Channing Crowder is great against the run, that’s about it. Good No.2 ILB though. Akin Ayodele is a free agent after the season and will be replaced. Rolando McClain anyone?
4- Safety; Gibril Wilson is trash. He’ll likely be released after the season. My Faves in this years draft; Myron Rolle and Kam Chancellor (both could be available in round 4).
5- Pass-catching TE; Both Anthony Fasano and Joey Haynos are free agents (No big deal, they both suck in the passing game anyways!). An upgrade is needed. I can see Aaron Hernandez in a Teal and White Uni.
6- 3-4 Rush Linebacker; Jason Taylor has been great. Cameron Wake is going to be a star! Every time I see that dude on the field, he’s puttiing pressure on the QB (from both the weakside and strongside) either by getting a sack or a hurry. Joey Porter’s has had an up and down season (mostly down). He’ll likely be cut after the season to allow Wake to start. However, JT won’t be around much longer either so the Fins will draft a player who could sit and develope and likely take over the starting gig from JT after next season. I’d love to have Jerry Hughes, but there are bigger needs than rush linebacker so he’ll be off the boards by the time the Dolphins decide to select an OLB. My guess is round 5 or 6; a project player with high upside that they can develope.
My Dolphins Mock Draft:
1- Rolando McClain, ILB (The face of Miami’s defense for many years to come. The next Patrick Willis?)
2- Arrelious Benn, WR (Horrible junior campaign thanks to his QB Juice Williams. Still, most likely will enter the draft because of academics. Will slip but could have the most potential of any reciever in the draft.)
3- Dan Williams, NT (Not Mount Cody, but maybe the next best thing. Can take on multiple blockers and stuff the run.)
4- Kam Chancellor, S (6-4, 230 Ibs, 4.5 forty time. Enough said. Good all-around skills. Especially good at covering TE’s. Wink Wink Mr.Parcells!)
5- George Selvie, 3-4 OLB (Underperformer; Huge Potential)
6- Jimmy Graham, TE (Next Antonio Gates? Could be even better as he’s way more athletic, standing at 6’8, 260 Ibs and 4.6 speed. Is already a good blocker and red-zone threat. Always seems to be open and his ball skills continue to improve. The sky’s the limit for him.)
7- Javarris James, RB (Low Risk. High Upside.)

McCain is my first round hope and williams over Cody who seems to get handled far to often by a single blocker

IDK
I think Cody is stronger. Every time I watch him he is being doubled though. I think Dan Williams will get drafted pretty high because of the need for NTs. The Dolphins, Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, Steelers, and the 49ers will all be looking for NTs.

I never said Fasano sucks.
I said he sucks in the passing game. He’s probably the best blocking TE in the league. But he’s been pretty invisible in the passing game this season; either because he can’t get open, fumbles the ball, or drops a pass. He’s stuggling this season and the Fins need a new pass catching TE for Henne to throw to. O really hope they can re-sign him though and also draft a good TE.

Chargers:
1. A future starter/star running back, heir to LaDainian Tomlinson.
2. A strong safety. They’re working with a platoon of Paul Oliver and Kevin Ellison for now.
3. Middle linebacker who can play zone and/or cover a TE.
4. Depth on both lines.
Some of our fans want a future starting nose tackle, but I think that Vaughn Martin can be that guy.
"Wipe that golden tear from your mother dear, and raise what's left of the flag for me."-- Flogging Molly, "What's Left Of The Flag"
Ali Villanueva (OT/WR, Army) has 460 yards and 5 TDs in only 7 games with a mediocre quarterback. Just sayin'...
Jaguars
1. 4-3 Defensive Player(s), we need an explosive playmaker that will become the face of the defense.
2. QB, to groom.
Tied 3. OG, aging interior line.
Tied 3. OC, above
Tied 4. Secondary Depth
Tied 4. DE depth

1. QB

3. Interior Line
4. DE
5. LB
Really best available player is the best way to go for this pick. The only positions drafted in the first round that would make me scratch my head would be: OT, TE and maybe WR

Bears
1. GM
Hopefully one that does decent in rounds 1 and 2 when we have those picks to use.
2. Offensive Coordinator
Ron Turner is garbage.
3. Offensive Line help EVERYWHERE
We can’t run block we can’t pass block we are however decent not allowing blocked kicks.
4. Coach
Lovie lost the team, we’ve gone downhill since the super bowl.
5. Defensive Coordinator
Because right now Lovie is the DC.
6. Wide Receiver
I’d be scared of Hester, Bennett, Knox……..If I was a high school team.
7. Secondary
Depth behind Tillman and Bowman at corner safety who knows Lovie will always find the flavor of the month.
8. Quaterback
If Cutler goes down Caleb Hanie are you freaking serious? Hopefully one that doesn’t throw 17 INT’s.
9. Linebackers
I really dislike Hillenmeyer, we need some depth there.
10. Defensive Line
Ogunleye is a free agent who knows about Gaines Adams, Harris could be cut but he we still have Dusty Dvoracek on the IR where he has been since the 70’s.
11. Running Back
Depth behind Forte.

Bengals
The last few drafts Mike Brown has moved to a BPA type drafting system and the results are starting to come apparent on defence – that said a DE, CB, DT and TE order is most likely the pick, and it will be on a BPA basis. (they had Andre Smith ranked higher than Crabtree but the word was that if Smith was gone they were drafting Crabtree – which would have pissed off many a Bengal fan).
RG – Bobbie Williams contract is up and although he will be resigned we need the hier apparent.
DT – The improvement of the interior line was evident when all our DTs are available in the rotation. More depth needed.
DE – Odom will be back nexy year but he is injury prone and Johnson is used as a DE/OLB so a future starter or a bit-part player who specializes in run-stopping or sacks (think Cunningham from Florida).
OLB – This pick depends on what they do with Rey Mauluagua, if he stays at SAM then this pick is an ILB and if he moves inside then we want a pass-rushing specialist OLB who can cover (who doesn’t).
SS – Roy Williams wasn’t as bad as advertised and when he did play the whole D was lifted through his leadership and knowledge. He has another year on the IR and it may be his career will be cut short. Either way, a back-up run stopper would be handy.
CB – Joseph and Hall are getting alot of credit and Trent Morgan has been a really good find but we need another CB. Personally i’d like it to be one of those KR/CBs who are small but full of fight and can clamp down on slot recievers. However Brown loves CBs with height and won’t draft a CB under 5-11.
TE – so many TDs have been dropped by our TEs it is beyond depressing. We have a future pass-catcher in Coffman but need an in-line blocker who has steady hands. A. McCoy is a likely pick but i think Brown will take from the latter rounds – someone like Michael Hoomanawanui (who is a blocker but when called upon has steady hands).
RB – LJ is not the answer as our fourth running back and although Scott has impressed on KR and as a back-up he can only really fulfil one of those roles. I would guess a strong pounding back wil be the pick to produce a like-for-like replacement for Benson.

I agree with most of the needs. I'll add more to it, plus my input.
Offensive Coordinator- Bratkowski needs to go. Period.
Possibly a future QB in a later round. Carson is 30 and has battled injuries. If the O-line plays as good as it has been, though, we can put this off till next year. O’Sullivan is a decent backup, but is not the long term answer should Carson get hurt. Jordan Palmer IMO has shown me nothing. I think he was signed as a favor to Carson by Mike Brown.
K – Shayne Graham will be shown the door, but this will most likely be addressed during the FA signing period. Or even an undrafted FA. Hope we don’t take one in the draft.
Now for my input on what you have.
RG is definitely an important need. I’m not so sure we resign Bobbie. He will be 34 next year, but I would like to see him return. That said, definitely need to groom a future guy there.
CB. Like Hall, Joseph(Who I think absolutely needs to be resigned), Trent. David Jones sucks, though. We need a dime DB/KR type of guy. Totally agree with you there as well.
TE – Definitely an important need. Utecht is gone, Reggie Kelly probably will retire, Coats is garbage, Foschi is serviceable at best. Coffman isn’t NFL ready yet. I’d like to see Jimmy Graham fall to us.
I would prefer we do not draft a WR. I would like for us to keep Henry. I would also like to see what if anything can Simpson do.
RB- I wasn’t sold on this being a need earlier in the season, but now, I’m for it. We have Benson for one more year, and we’re running the wheels off of him quickly. Like Scott, but not sure he can be an every down back. LJ is definitely not a long term solution. Like Leonard for what he brings to the table, but he can’t be an every down guy either.
Overall, I like the way you address our needs, Shef. Just wanted to give my input as well. Who Dey.

it is always good to see another fan that sees the same things (proves i’m not inventing some of those needs). From last year where we looked like we needed 15 draft picks to this year where we need better quality depth in certain positions is an encouraging development.
One thing i think the Bengals need to do is get a playmaker for the offence. With Henry out we have been seeing teams deal with our possession type recievers better. We need someone like Percy Harvin who can play some RB and some WR who is explosive when they get the ball in their hands. Someone like Dexter McCluster from Ole Miss would be seriously interesting but i don’t know if he’d fit in with the Bengals’ football philosophy. (he is basically Sproles-esque but him returning kicks/playing in the slot like Wes Welker and taking the odd hand-off i think the Bengals could make an excuse to draft him)

Vikings
1) QB. It’s been a revelation watching a real QB handle the offense, but Favre’s obviously a rental. However, Brad Childress was heaping praise on Tarvaris Jackson after his extended second-half performance against the Seahawks (granted, someone may need to remind Chilly the game was way out of reach and Seattle was probably cheating for the run…). So who knows?
2) 1-tech DT. Their most immediate need. Pat Williams is way into his 30s, has one year left on his deal, and may even retire. Jimmy Kennedy (remember him?) has been effective as an interior pass rusher this year, but he’s over 30 as well and probably is better used as a situational player.
3) “Playmaker” at LB/DB. The Vikings defense is predicated on the front four causing havoc. When that’s not happening, either due to fatigue or good blocking/chipping, they’re very, very vulnerable in the passing game, especially with Antoine Winfield out. A guy who could make something happen every once in a blue moon would be helpful. Rookie Asher Allen has shown a little potential here (a pick, FF, and a sack in very limited time), but the staff doesn’t seen to trust him yet as he’s still behind journeymen Benny Sapp and Karl Peymah on the depth chart.
4) Interior O-line. The Vikings can’t run between the tackles.
5) Running back depth. After Chester Taylor they have former Hawkeye Albert Young, and Ian “The Proposer” Johnson’s still on the practice squad. If there’s a back on the board in Round 3 or later who’s better than these two, they’ll probably take him.
DE is a possible need if Ray Edwards walks. Edwards isn’t great, but he’s effective enough, is improving, and still only 24 even though he’s been in the league for 4 years. I suspect they’ll retain him, but if they don’t this probably moves to need #2 or #3.
Tony Pike
I like this kid and he will probably be available when the Vikings pick. Unfortunately, I do think they will pick DT in the 1st round and hopefully Pike will make it to round # 2.
They've been talking up Jackson like he's the replacement for Favre.
The Minnesota coaches, I mean. I don’t know if they mean it, but it seems like they do.
They won’t go QB in round 1; not unless Sam Bradford has a big enough slide where they can move up or something. And even then, I just don’t know.
I’m not much of a Pike fan. I’m concerned about his toughness. And it’s worth considering Cincinnati’s offense looked just as good—if not better—when Pike was out as it did when he was in. There’s other guys I’d look to first. But when it comes to mid round QB prospects, all we know is that we don’t know nothing…
Defense
With the injury to E.J. Henderson I’m starting to lean towards the theory that the Vikes pick the best defensive player available either DT, secondary, DE or LB. Unless the coaching staff is absolutely sold an available 1st round QB the defense must be shored up. I don’t think any available QB at their draft position will rate high enough to be a “franchise guy”

Bucs
1. Every Defensive Position except MLB and FS – Bucs have three players that could start o other teams, Rudd, Jackson, and Talib. All other positions need an upgrade.
2. An impact WR and WR depth- Antonio Bryant is injury prone and Michael Clayton is Michael Clayton.
3. run blocking OL- Bucs have struggled running the ball, pass protection is pretty good.
4. RT- Trueblood sucks
5. a quick RB- Caddy needs an elusive counterpart.
6. Blocking TE- K2 is a playmaker, but not a blocker to spring RB’s for long gains.
flopped.
took the Giants O-line’s talent with him.

Jags
No rounds, just the order of need.
1. Defensive End/Vocal linebacker like Teal said above.
2. Interior offensive line
3. Number 2 receiver
4. Scat back
5. Quarterback to groom. Thaddeus Lewis or Riley Skinner would be ideal.
If hip hop is dead, then it happened the day that Dilla died.

QB's:
Thaddeus Lewis, Tony Pike, Tim Hiller, possibly Tebow (if he is bad at combine) or Riley Skinner

Browns
1. RB- Lewis is retiring and Harrison might walk. That leaves us with only James Davis, who is on the IR.
2. CB- Brandon McDonald blows. Nuff said
3. RT/RG- The right side of our line sucks
4. WR- Massoquoi looks good, but we have no one else
5. TE- We have no one.
6. D-line depth- Our D-line is getting pretty old.

Giants
DT’s. Toughness is a problem
MLB/LB. Toughness and athleticism is a problem (probably not drafting one of these, if anything, signing a FA like Kirk Morrison).
S- depth was a problem even with KP starting. Its more of a problem with him out.
RB-Jacobs is running like a puss and they may cut him (how’s THAT for getting your money Brandon?) An impact RB like Dwyer or Spiller might make sense.
OL- Seubert and McKenzie have taken steps back. They could uses some more young blood anyway.
DT- did I mention the Giants DT’s are playing like pusses? Robbins and Bernard are gone. Cofield MAY be re-signed cuz he’s young. Canty might get cut too.
Could use a pass rusher too. Maybe trade Osi?

I wouldn't be against it.
I’d personally rather have Spiller. We have a power back (supposedly….) with Jacobs. Also, Bradshaw is still there. Andre Brown was supposed to be the #2 guy, so who knows with him. Danny Ware….I dunno (kinda hard to hold onto the ball when your recovering from a separated elbow).
Spiller would provide something the Giants just don’t seem to ever have…..elite speed. Either a kick returner, or just SOMETHING to provide a mismatch on offense for them, anywhere.
I guess that means….yea, I want to cut Jacobs if he continues this bullcrap. A dude this big should not be cutting towards the sidelines.

Yeah
I was assuming Jacobs would be cut if the Giants were to draft Dwyer. Spiller would be a great complement to Jacobs if he wasn’t cut, and if he wasn’t running like a puss.

Bills
In order of need: (Meaning the order they should be drafted)
1. Tackle: Brad Butler will hopefully have a healthy season for once. If he can stay alive for 16 games and the Bills get a good young new tackle the O-line will instantly be 20 times better next year.
2. QB: A QB tandem of Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick sounds like a basis for a comedy novel, not the basis for a strong football team.
3. LB: The Bills’ defensive troubles keep getting blamed on the DTs, which is proof enough to me that nobody has watched a Bills game. The LB corps are the weak spot on the field, NOT the DT’s.
4. DT: That said, the DT corps are getting old now and need the depth.
5. G: Every Bills fan is hoping that Eric Wood gets moved to his original college position of Center next season. They need a guard to fill that hole at that point.
6. RB: Freddie is turning 30 very soon and nobody can tell whether or not this is just a bad year for Marshawn or if he’s hit the wall. A new late round RB will shake it up.
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.
Cardinals
1. OT: Levi Brown has not lived up to his top ten pick 2 years ago and Mike Gandy is awful at LT. Cards need to find someone that can actually give Warner and Leinart time at QB.
2. OLB: They drafted OLB Cody Brown in the 2nd round last year but he went on the IR in preseason do to an injured wrist. They also lost Will Davis mid season to an injury. It’s still really tough to tell what they have in those two players. Their other OLBs are in their thirties. This has got to be an area of concern in the offseason.
3. ILB: If Karlos Dansby leaves in the offseason than this is the most important position for the Cards. If he doesn’t than they need to find a backup to him and Gerald Hayes because they have no depth behind those two.
4. TE: The Cards need a tight end that can not only catch the ball but be a very good blocker. Someone like a Heath Miller would fit their type of needs.
5. DT: They really do not have a big player at this position. Gabe Watson is decent but not a starter and Bryan Robinson is a DE. Alan Branch has also failed at this position. They need to find a a guy that can eat up blocks and stop the run.
6. CB: DRC has been very good since being drafted last year but Bryant McFadden has been the week link in the secondary. They already have Greg Toler learning to be the possible replacement but it would make sense to grab another CB in the later rounds.
completely agree with 1-3 and 5 & 6
I’m ok with Patrick at tight end and some combo of Spach and some other veteran are fine as backups.
Be careful....to a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Broncos (according to me)
1. ILB who can blitz well
— we do a lot of A-B gap blitzes on a delay (e.g., Andra Davis). Ideally, the guy would also be fast and good in coverage, since we often leave the two MLBs to cover the entire second level on their own using a 5-2 hybrid look.
2a. 3-4DE who excels at run-stuffing
— When Ryan McBean went down with injury, we got to see just how weak we are at this position. Four games missed, four losses. One game back, one win
2b. Interior O-lineman who is superb at power run-blocking/pulling
— The zone-blocking system is going away. LG/C are the only weak spots in an otherwise superb offensive line, and we are firmly an establish-the-run kind of team right now.
3. Upper-level CB.
— Champ Bailey is on the decline, and has about one good year left (if he is even in Denver next year). Alphonso Smith hasn’t made an immediate impact, and Andre Goodman is respectable without being spectacular.
4. Dynamic kick/punt returner
— Eddie Royal can be a great receiver, but he needs to stick to either returning kicks or catching passes. If we can package #5 with either #4 or #6, then that is just gravy.
5. Speedy WR who can stretch the field
— Marshall is a great #1, and Royal is best in the slot, but we need a fast guy with great hands who can spread the Defense out and allow Marshall to have space to make people miss in the middle of the field.
6. Space-clogger NT
— Ronald Fields has worked out very well for us so far, and Marcus Thomas is just fine as a backup, plus we have Chris Baker as a potential high-upside heir apparent. Still, there are a lot of unknowns here.
7. Speedy RB (must be able to pass-protect well)
— Correll Buckhalter is great for next year, but we need a guy for the future to complement Knowshon Moreno’s grind-it-out slasher style.
8. coverage S
— right now, this would be a depth pick as Renaldo Hill and Brian Dawkins are doing just fine, while Darcel McBath looks great in fill-in duty and David Bruton is a ST ace.
9. QB who is intelligent, accurate, and makes good decisions
— This is where many Broncos faithful disagree, but I think that if the price is right (and it likely will be) we resign Orton to an extension while we groom Tom Brandstater for the job when Orton eventually breaks down. This is only a late-round scenario.
10. T depth (run-blocking is a positive)
— We have two of the better tackles in the game with Ryan Clady and Ryan Harris, but beyond that the cupboard is a little bare. Tyler Polumbus has done a pretty good job filling in, but if he goes down we are screwed.
McDaniels’ drafting strategy in 2009 was BPA operating off of a short board. So-called “need” was very much a secondary consideration. With that in mind, even though S is pretty low, if a Berry or a Mays falls in our lap with Chicago’s first-rounder, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see us take him.

Actually, upon second thought
I’m changing #8 to “S who excels in run support”. Of the guys we have, Dawkins is the one who is the most irreplaceable but who will need to be replaced the soonest.

Nice picks
I don’t think Mays would be taken. Too much of an Al Davis pick all you ever hear about the guy is that he is a great size speed combo but comes up lacking in instinct. If Alabama’s McLain or Florida’s Spikes were to fall to Denver which is possible Nolan will try for the next Willis.
Also I think the Denver might be looking for a young version of Holliday at DE a Defensive guard who can get in the back feild.

(within reason) one can never have too much pass rush
But still: the woes our run defense had when McBean went down, plus our somewhat sketchy (albeit serviceable) situation at NT makes a run-stuffer a priority, to me. The best news about a guy like this is that we can go BPA almost exclusively in Round 1 and possibly even Round 2, and then get a solid guy on the cheap in Round 2/3 (since run-stuffers aren’t as flashy as sack machines).
Also, I just realized a typo: the KR/PR slot should be packaged with a CB or a WR, not a WR or a NT. Wouldn’t that be interesting! A space-clogging NT who is also a dynamic KR!

A Moped-Fridge
Agreeded, I say this every draft season but I hope Denver Trades down… If Chicago 1st ends up in the top fifteen moving back in the draft might not be a bad idea. I think it would depend on many things primarily: Players on the board, Picks Denver would receive and Non-Seniors declaring. The talent level for this up coming draft might be absolutley sensational if Non-seniors declare early for fear of injury and lost earnings with a rookie pay scale. I it will be a a college player mad dash for the door.

I would love to see a trade down
Guys I would definitely pick instead: Suh, Berry.
Guys I would probably pick instead: McCoy (DT)
Guys I would have a good long think about: McClain, Mays, Haden
All in that order.
Still, getting a high second-rounder and a few more 3rd/4th rounders sounds fantastic.

Carolina
- QB Delhomme isn’t the same guy who took us to the Super Bowl, he isn’t even the same guy who led us to 12-4 last year.
- WR Smith is our only threat, and he is 30. We need two more guys, a possession WR, and another scoring threat. Jarret could be the possession guy, but he might not be back.
- OLB Davis will almost certainly be re-signed. However, we need competition for Diggs, Johnson, and Connor at SLB. Another LB for ST couldn’t hurt.
- Depth at OT We don’t have a true OT on the roster as a backup.
- Depth on the DL We could use a pass rusher at DT, as well as another DE if Brayton is let go or Peppers leaves.
Chiefs
KC is literally in need at every position outside of QB, RB, and WR.
First round has to either be an OT, unless Suh is on the board.
both second rounders need to be on a C and either a G or LB
fourth should be the one we didnt take of the 3rd round positions
all three of our 5th round picks should be LBs and DBs
Chiefs
1. We need a saftey here, preferably Berry if he is still available. If not then we pick up the best lineman available.
2. Depends on the 1st round. But say we pick Berry then we pick OL here. I like C O’Dowd here.
2b. Could use a strong, skilled, true legit pass rusher here. Or we continue OL and pick up a Guard with Waters almost done and RG not solid.
3. With 2b if we pick OL than we MUST pick best pass rusher available at this point, if we did opposite then OL it is again.
4. We need to pick up LB’s so expect LB in the 5th and maybe NT or CB.
See ya Later Larry Johnson, or now forever known as "2.7"
Packers
I’m not a Packer fan but I’m guessing their biggest needs are
1. OT – obviously
2. DE/OLB – unlikely Kampman will return since this team now runs a 3-4
3. CB – their guys are getting older.
Ravens needs
WR is the bigest need followed by CB. But if they lose to Packers and Steelers and have a shot at MLB R McClain in the first they will take him.
WR
CB
WR
best potential pass rusher
RR
Niners
Here is what I see as the needs of the 49ers in order of importance.
OT—Staley is good, Sims is a great backup. Pashos is merely average and Snyder may just be the worst RT in the league.
S/CB—our secondary needs big help. We consistently give up 300+ yards a game through the air. We kept the Colts to just 18 points, and Manning still had 347 yards against us.
Guard—Baas is just average. Rachal is in his second year and improving.
OLB—We need a monster OLB to provide pass rush. Plans are to franchise Franklin. Smith and Sopoaga already have contracts. Haralson and Lawson aren’t getting it done on the outside. Spikes, Willis, Wilhelm, and McKillop are all good to great ILBs.
QB. Smith is our starter next year, but after that it’s a question mark. I believe Hill is gone during the offseason. That leaves us with Nate Davis as our backup and he’s a rookie from Ball State.
PR/KR. FO has our PR at dead last in the league. We need big help there.
WR
Bruce is done. Battle and Jones won’t likely return. Jones is best suited on the outside but with Crabtree around he doesn’t have a place.
Crabtree, Morgan, and Hill provide a solid young core but one of those small/fast/quick players can add another element to the offense. Hopefully this same player helps with PR/KR.

Redskins
LT- Our O-Line is terrible, our starters should be backups & our backups should be at Burger King
RT- Same as above
G- Derrick Dockery is not bad but otherwise it is a position of need
MLB- London Fletcher is great but I feel we have no depth
RB- Portis is beat up & no longer seems to have the drive, Ladell Betts & Rock Cartwright are good backups tho Betts returning at 100 percent next year is doubtful & Rock is solid on special teams.
CB- I doubt that Rodgers will be a Redskin next year & Smoot is getting up there in age
Overall tho, IMO O-Line is by far our biggest need ( that is other than the obvious which is a new GM & a non meddling owner )
Your starters could be backups in a Burger King work league.

Saints
1. Outside Linebacker- Scott Shanle and Scott Fujita are mediocre at best.
2. Defensive End- Will Smith is great, but Charles Grant is waaaaay overpaid and may be on his way out.
3. Center- Hopefully one that can double as a long snapper.
4. Defensive Tackle- Sedrick Ellis is great when healthy, but need depth.
5. Maybe a Safety- Depends on if we can resign Darren Sharper. Roman Harper is can hit, but can’t really cover all that well.
6. If all other needs are met, try to get an Offensive Tackle

But he isn’t anything special. He is kind of an emotional leader bet gets beat a lot and has an injury problem.
