Some of the picks I had some trouble on so just let me know what you guys think and if it is any better than my last mock.  Like I said it was rushed so I don't know how much better it will be.

Edit:  I have changed a couple picks after looking through it.  I probably should have just waited till next week to post a mock since I wasn't able to put much time into this one.

If it's deemed spam, it gets deleted.

Rolando Mcclain is alright

T. Cody, or Safety Burnett would also be fine

dont understand Anthony Davis to the Eagles @ 24. We all know how much Reid loves drafting his offensive linemen but the birds have quickly transitioned from the Thomas/Runyan days and are looking pretty good there. They used a first on Jason Peters (and laced him up with a new contract) on the left side and between the Andrews Brothers and Winston Justice they already have their starter at RT.

They could go interior line (right guard) but think this is a little bit early for that. Think they probably end up going DE or secondary.

lions

they wont pass on okung if he is there. i think there board will look. Okung, berry, suh, and then McCoy. otherwise pretty realistic.

Yea like I said I did this quick and now that I look back that should be Okung.

Dallas

Dallas won’t take a WR in the first. With the emergence of Austin, Crayton with a big contract and Roy Williams being what he is, there is enough talent there to where other holes will be filled first. That would be mainly OL, pass rushing LB (contingent on how the rookies look the rest of the year), or a DE.

by jf55510 on Nov 5, 2009 3:43 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I agree

OL or DE sounds more realistic.
Maybe even a free safety to help us with interceptions.

I dunno. You have seven OTs and five DBs in the first round.

I don’t think there will be that many. Replace at least one of each [Black and Robinson] with DTs [Jones, Odrick, or Price]. Hard to argue with which teams you have selecting OTs. But Black especially is a reach for the Colts. The Colts don’t do reaches.

by NorthLeft12 on Nov 5, 2009 9:24 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

True but they really don’t have any needs except depth

The Secondary is a need for the Colts

They have Rookie F.A.’s starting for them.

Arthur Jones in the first isnt a reach.

?

I know Arthur Jones is black, but I don’t think North was confusing him with Ciron Black…

DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by FreeBradshaw on Nov 6, 2009 11:08 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Yes, I was confused by that comment as well, FB.

Actually, if Arthur Jones was available at #31 for the Colts I think they snatch him up. Good value there. If one of the better OTs fell to that spot I think the Colts could go for him. I think Jason Fox of Miami is more plausible than Ciron Black.

by NorthLeft12 on Nov 6, 2009 1:14 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I personally would rather the Giants draft him

wherever they are than Brandon Spikes.

TO ARTHUR!

I am probably one of the few Bills fans who will agree w/ you about the Bills pick. Many want the Bills to pick a QB, but until they solidify the O-line, they are doomed.

by bluecollarbuffalo on Nov 8, 2009 8:32 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I like the pick for the Cards.

Would not be surprised though if they went for an OT there.

McClain

I’d be fine with that, though today the Jags may have thrown a monkey wrench in these mocks that have them taking 3-4 players. They played almost exclusively 4-3 against the Chiefs and had great success until the last four minutes of the fourth quarter. Granted it was the Chiefs.

I think we should trade back a couple spots and then get S Morgan Burnett

Cut Reggie Nelson.

Word

I love Burnett. The more I watch the more I could imagine him in a Jaguar uniform.

KC

I can’t imagine them taking McCoy in the 1st.

They took DL in the top 5 in the last 2 yrs.

IF Berry is on the board, he has to be KC’s pick.
Otherwise, I think it’s likely an OT or maybe McClain

* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

They need secondary help so bad.

Hey fellow AP'er :)

and i agree 100%. i will be upset if we draft another DL. Tjack and Dorsey last 2 years. then a little bit back Hali. The DL drafting stops here. I’d love to pick up Berry, if he’s not there then the best available OL

See ya Later Larry Johnson, or now forever known as "2.7"

Can;t believe I didn;t notice that Taylor Mays went a pick behind the Giants'

If he’s there I’d love for them to take Mays over Spikes.

Even if they have the intentions to switch him to LB like Urlacher or one of the outside backers..still, Mays would be nice if he falls.

Mays is versatile enough for LB spot?

It can be done

He already weighs about 230. Urlacher did the same thing coming out of college.

he's a safety....

and more of one who covers the TE and stops the run. So yea, that seems like a LB to me.

Gerald McCoy to the Chiefs?

The Chiefs have spent a top 5 pick on Glenn Dorsey (who has shown considerable improvement over his rookie year, even though this is 1st year in the 3-4 defense) and another top 5 pick on Tyson Jackson whos only in his rookie season. Young defensive linemen typically take about 3 seasons to really begin to show an impact.

Gerald McCoy doesnt fit a 3-4 Nose Tackle. Hes more of a 3-4 defensive end, which the Chiefs already have to of. We also spent last years 3rd rounder on Alex Magee, another DT turned 3-4 DE. I highly..HIGHLY doubt the Chiefs draft another DL in the top 5 for the 3rd year straight.
