SI's Don Banks 2009 draft re-do
Michael Oher first overall? Third rounders in the first round? Banks provides second-guessing at it's best.

WoW..
Hakeem Nicks still falls to the late 20’s?
For real? Drops and all Sunday….is he really worse than Crabtree?
A fan who watches all the Niner and Giants games…says Nicks is as big, as good hands, and faster.
And….SI is bunch of fools.
Phil Loadholdt?

Yes, he is worse than Crabtree
Not sure why Loadholt is so high, or Collie for that matter. I like how guys like Jason Smith, Tyson Jackson, and Eugene Monroe completely fall out of the first round in this “re-do”. I’m pretty sure the Colts or Vikings would happily trade their guy for one of them. (Okay, Jackson is not a good fit, but you get the drift)

In College....
Or now…is Crabtree better?
I wanna know…cuz some of you MFers are too damn sure about this.
And I can promise…I ain’t a homer on this one.

Both
Crabtree would be awesome in the Giants offense. It’s a bit tougher with Alex Smith throwing to him. Although Nicks looks really good too, so I don’t think you can go wrong with either of them.

yes
he is much worse than crabtree.
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

I saw one of these a week ago
And it had three Jaguars taken in the first round (Derek Cox, Terrence Knighton and Eben Britton).
This one had none.
Terrence Knighton is a huge oversight.

If it was the same one I saw, it was four (Monroe was included as well)
Knighton is tearing it up

no doubt...
but to have 3 Jaguars in the ‘first round’.?
They can be tearing it up…so are other players not on the Jaguars….

Have you seen a Jaguar game?
I’m thinking probably not, so just stop talking.
by SoCalStites on Dec 16, 2009 12:59 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
All I'm saying...so you stop talking...
is there are 31 other teams. there are more rookies out there that are worthy of 1st round picks.
These Jaguar guys..certainly worthy of a higher pick than they should be..and congrats to the Jaguars on their excellent season because of it.
But its a bit homerish to thin that FOUR FKING JAGUARS are first rounders.
So no..I have only seen a few jaguars game.
But may YOU should watch something OTHER than a Jaguars game..cuz there’s 31 other teams with good rookies.

wow....
and you believe any of that?
Jarrius Byrd #2 overall?
I hit “X” right after that.
Sure he’s good…yet, …#2 overall?
These “re-drafts’” are a crock of sht anyway….

Lets see, he leads the NFL in interceptions, as a rookie, with a poor pass rush. Yeah, thats worth a top 5 selection.

with a poor pass rush.
More like non-existent.

I mixed him up with someone on the Jaguars
for some reason, probably cuz dude was talking up his Jaguars.
They have a rookie DB…who’s pretty good..but sure wouldn’t be the #2 overall in a re-draft.
Byrd obviously is doing something right with the 9 INT’s, worthy of one of the top players in the draft.

Someone please explain to me what the point in that was and why I just wasted 10 minutes reading it.

Banks did it to pacify us Lions fans that better days are ahead.
Can’t get any worse than 48 to 3. I hope.

the top guy dont watch football
Nicks is nothing compared to Crabtree and Loadholt has played some good football for the vikings. You are clearly a delusional giants fan.

Really?
You watch Hakeem Nicks at all?
I watch 49er games too…..(brother’s a Niner fan). Him and I really can’t see the difference. Nicks is faster…about the only difference.
This isn’t TTU vs. UNC.
We’ll see.

I have watched Nicks quite a bit and I am not a Giants fan. He is very good and will be a star. He is already on my sleeper pick list for FF next year.

Seahawks with Brian Cushing?
There’s no doubt that Cushing has been far better than Aaron Curry, but in retrospect (or even at the time), drafting a linebacker in the top 5 was absolute lunacy. Seattle needed to draft a tackle at that spot and they almost certainly would if they could go back.
Holmgren would have drafted Crabtree.

I have a hard time believing Nicks would fall past the Dolphins
Knowing what we know now I’d take Nicks or Britt, and I love Smith and Davis.
