TJ's guide to the bowl season

Here are some players of interest during the upcoming bowl season. If a player won't be playing or you feel I left someone off by all means let me know, I'm sure I forgot some. An asterick * means the player is an underclassmen

Star-divide

New Mexico Bowl   Fresno St. vs Wyoming (12/19)

Fresno St.- RB Ryan Matthews*, CB AJ Jefferson, WR Seyi Ajirotutu

Wyoming- DE John Fletcher

Ryan Matthews is a JR who will most likely declare for the draft he could go as high as round 2 but with a solid showing in the combine and workouts could move up especially if Jonathan Dwyer and/or Jahvid Best elect to stay in school.

St. Petersburg Bowl  UCF vs Rutgers (12/19)

UCF- DT Terrell Troup

Rutgers - T Anthony Davis*, CB Devin McCourty,LB Ryan D'Imperio, T Kevin Haslam

Anthony Davis is the star of this game. Some say he can play the left side others say he is strictly a RT. If a team believes he can man the left side ( I do) he could rise maybe as high as San Francisco in the early teens. If Davis, Bruce Campbell, and Bryan Bulaga declare it will be a tight race to see who is the second tackle taken in the draft.

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl  Southern Miss vs Middle Tennessee  (12/20)

Southern Miss- RB Damion Fletcher, T Calvin Wilson, S Eddie Hicks, WR DeAndre Brown**, QB Austin Davis**

Middle Tennessee- WR Eldred King

No one really excites me in this game. DeAndre Brown a sophomore WR for Southern Miss is exciting though and should not be slept on when talking about the great WR class next year.

MAACO Las Vegas Bowl   Oregon St. vs BYU  (12/22)

Oregon St.-QB Sean Canfield, LB/S Keaton Kristic, RB Jacquizz Rodgers**, WR James Rodgers*

BYU- TE Dennis Pitta, QB Max Hall, DE/LB Jan Jorgensen, FB Monase Tonga, RB Harvey Unga**, T Matt Reynolds**

Max Hall vs Sean Canfield should be an interesting battle. Canfield could stick as a backup in the NFL as for Hall not a strong arm and doesn't possess great size hurts his stock but could land in the later rounds. Some very good prospects for next years draft.

San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl  Utah vs California (12/23)

Utah-G/T Zane Beadles,LB Stevenson Sylvester, DE Nawa'akoa (Koa) Misi, RB Matt Asiata

California- RB Jahvid Best*, DE/DT Tyson Alualu, CB SydQuan Thompson, T Michael Tepper, WR Verran Tucker, WR Nyan Boateng, RB Shane Vereen**

This could very well be Jahvid Best last game at Cal. He was once considered a high pick and could work his way back up there if he has a strong game and carries that momentum into the combine and workouts. SydQuan Thompson intrigues me but his lack of size (5'9 187) and lack of great speed (rumored 4.44) could hurt him. I've never been high on WR's coming from Cal (except DeSean Jackson) but they always seem to get drafted so keep an eye on Tucker and Boateng.

Sheraton Hawaii Bowl  Nevada vs SMU  (12/24)

Nevada- QB Colin Kaepernick*, OL Alonzo Durham

SMU- WR Emmanuel Sanders

Watch Kaepernick some say he is a Vince Young type QB others say he needs to switch to WR in the pros.

Little Ceasars Bowl  Marshall vs Ohio  (12/26)

Marshall- TE Cody Slate, RB Darius Marshall*

Ohio- WR Taylor Price

Taylor Price has Al Davis drooling he goes 6'1 212 with 4.38 speed. Cody Slate is an undersized TE he could be a solid late round pick.

Meineke Car Care Bowl  Pittsburgh vs North Carolina (12/26)

Pittsburgh- DE Greg Romeus*, FB Dorin Dickerson, TE Nate Byham, CB Aaron Berry, WR Oderick Turner, QB Bill Stull, RB Dion Lewis**, WR Jonathan Baldwin**

North Carolina- DT Marvin Austin*, LB Bruce Carter*, LB Quan Sturdivant*, S Deunta Williams*, CB Kendric Burney*, WR Greg Little*, DE EJ Wilson, DT Cam Thomas, T Kyle Jolly, DE Robert Quinn**

This game is a must watch because North Carolina has NFL talent everywhere on defense. It should be fun to watch if they can hold super frosh Dion Lewis.

Emerald Bowl   Boston College vs USC  (12/26)

Boston College- C Matt Tennant, S Marcel Bowman, LB Mike McLaughlin

USC- T Chales Brown, DE Everson Griffen*, S Taylor Mays, RB Joe McKnight*, LB Michael Morgan*, TE Anthony McCoy, WR Damien Williams*, WR Ronald Johnson*, WR David Ausberry*, CB Kevin Thomas, LB Chris Gallipo*, DB Josh Pinkard, G Jeff Byers, C Kris O'Dowd, hell with it watch there whole damn team tons of NFL talent sure to dissapoint.

USC once again is loaded with talent, Joe McKnight has put together a nice season and could sneak his way into round 2, Everson Griffen is definately a guy to watch as he could be a 1st rounder.

Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl  Kentucky vs Clemson (12/27)

Kentucky- CB Trevard Lindley, LB Micah Johnson, FB John Connor

Clemson- RB CJ Spiller, DE/LB Ricky Sapp, S Deante McDaniel*, CB Crezdon Butler, G/C Thomas Austin, WR Jacoby Ford, DE DaQuan Bowers**, DT Jarvis Jenkins*

Trevard Lindley was once considered a 1st round lock but with the emergence of some other prospects he may fall. He could be matched up against Clemson speedster Jacoby Ford which should be fun to watch. Can Micah Johnson slow down CJ Spiller? Watch that.

AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl  Texas A&M vs Georgia (12/28)

Texas A&M- LB Von Miller*, QB Jerrod Johnson*, C Kevin Matthews, RB Cyrus Gray**, RB Christine Michael**

Georgia- S Reshad Jones*, DT Geno Atkins, DT Jeff Owens, DE Roderick Battle, CB Prince Miller, DT Kade Weston, WR AJ Green**, T Clint Boling**, RB Caleb King*, RB Richard Samuel*

Von Miller is a terror of the edge and could work his way into round 1. Jerrod Johnson had a monster game against Texas if he can build on that he can be a legitimate 1st round talent heading into next year (unless he declares stranger things have happend). Reshad Jones is a 1st round talent please keep an eye on him.

EagleBank Bowl  UCLA vs Temple (12/29)

NOTE if Army beats Navy then Army will play Temple instead of UCLA however being a Navy veteran I say no way in hell that happens so I have UCLA going here.

UCLA- DT Brian Price*,CB Alterraun Verner, LB Reggie Carter

Temple- S Dominique Harris, RB Bernard Pierce**

Temple S Dominique Harris looks like a solid late round selection, Verner could be in the 2-3 range.

Champs Sports Bowl    Miami vs Wisconsin (12/29)

Miami- T Jason Fox, DT Allen Bailey*, G/T Orlando Franklin*, RB Graig Cooper*, RB Javarris James, TE Dedrick Epps, DE Eric Moncur, CB Sam Shields, LB Darryl Sharpton, DT Marcus Forston**, DE Adewale Ojomo**, LB Arthur Brown**, LB Sam Spence**, CB Brandon Harris**, WR Aldarrius Johnson**, G/C Harland Gunn**, WR Travis Benjamin**, QB Jacory Harris**

Wisconsin- T Gabe Carimini*, DE O'Brien Schoefield, TE Garrett Graham, RB John Clay*,  S Shane Carter, LB Jaevery McFadden

Schoefield vs Fox should be a great battle. Schoefield applies pressure with the best of them and Fox is rising up draft boards (some saying late round 1). Miami has alot of young talent on that defensive line and this would be a great showcase for JR T Gabe Carimini of Wisconsin.

Roady's Humanitarian Bowl  Bowling Green vs Idaho (12/30)

Bowling Green- WR Freddie Barnes, QB Tyler Sheehan

Idaho- G Mike Iupati

Iupati is the headliner in this game some believe he could find his way into round 1 (if you like the sportingnews they have him going #12 overall). Sheehan and Barnes put on a fabulous show even though it might not transfer to the NFL it is worth watching these two.

Pacific Life Holiday Bowl   Arizona vs Nebraska (12/30)

Arizona- CB Devin Ross, DT Earl Mitchell, QB Nick Foles**

Nebraska- DT Ndamukong Suh, DT Jared Crick*, WR Niles Paul*, RB Roy Helu*, LB Phillip Dillard, S Larry Asante, DE Barry Turner, DE Pierre Allen*, CB Prince Amukamara*, CB Anthony West*

Must watch heisman finalist and future top 5 pick Ndamukon Suh he is a beast. Nebraska has some solid late round talent besides Suh. Arizona's best prospect is JR TE Rob Gronkowski who is hurt.

Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl  Houston vs Air Force (12/31)

Houston- CB Brandon Brinkley, QB Case Keenum*

Air Force- G Nick Charles

Should be an entertaining game but as far as pro potential not alot here.

Brut Sun Bowl  Stanford vs Oklahoma (12/31)

Stanford- RB Toby Gerhart, G/T Chris Marinelli, T Matt Kopa, S Bo McNally

Oklahoma- DT Gerald McCoy*, LB Travis Lewis*, T Trent Williams, RB DeMarco Murray*, CB Dominique Franks*, DE Jeremy Beal*, DT Demarcus Granger, LB Keenan Clayton, CB Brian Jackson, DE Auston English, LB Ryan Reynolds, RB Chris Brown, FB Matt Clapp

This game would be great if Stanford QB Andrew Luck was going against Oklahoma's Sam Bradford but both are hurt. Should be great to watch the pounding Gerhart and McCoy give each other.

Texas Bowl   Navy vs Missouri  (12/31)

Navy- No one

Missouri- LB Sean Weatherspoon, WR Danario Alexander, G Kurtis Gregory, RB Derrick Washington*, QB Blaine Gabbert**

Navy will run the ball....alot. So this could be a Weatherspoon stat game. I look for Alexander to have a huge game and sneak in the WR conversation.

Insight Bowl   Minnesota vs Iowa St. (12/31)

Minnesota- QB Adam Weber*, WR Eric Decker

Iowa St.- G/C Reggie Stephens

I don't believe Decker is playing (could be wrong) so this game could be quite boring. Stephens is a big body that should get a look in the later rounds.

Chick-fil-A Bowl   Virginia Tech vs Tennessee (12/31)

Virginia Tech- G Sergio Render, S Kam Chancellor, CB Stephan Virgil, T Ed Wang, TE Greg Boone, S Cody Grimm, QB Tyrod Taylor*, RB Ryan Williams**

Tennessee- S Eric Berry*, DT Dan Williams, LB Rico McCoy, RB Montarrio Hardesty, T Chris Scott, C Josh McNeil, RB Bryce Brown**, QB Jonathan Crompton

Render vs Williams could be a great match up. Suh himself said Render is the best guard he's gone up against. Watch Eric Berry as this could be his last game at Tennessee.

Outback Bowl    Northwestern vs Auburn  (1/1)

Northwestern- DE Cory Wooton, S Bradley Phillips

Auburn- T Lee Ziemba*, LB Josh Bynes*, RB Ben Tate, DE/LB Antonio Coleman, TE Tommy Trott, CB Walter McFadden

Ziemba vs Wooton could be a hell of a matchup. Bynes could sneak his way up in draft talk if he chooses to declare and Coleman could be a fit for a 3-4 D at OLB.

Capital One Bowl   Penn St. vs LSU (1/1)

Penn St.- LB Navorro Bowman*, DT Jared Odrick, RB Evan Royster*, LB Sean Lee, CB AJ Wallace, TE Andrew Quarless, TE Mickey Shuler, QB Darryll Clark

LSU- WR Brandon LaFell, WR Terrance Tolliver*, S Chad Jones*, T Joseph Barksdale*, T Ciron Black, DT Al Woods, DE Rahim Alem, RB Charles Scott, RB Keiland Williams, S Harry Coleman, TE Richard Dickson, LB Perry Riley, RET Trindon Holliday

This should be an interesting game both teams have quite abit of NFL talent. LSU has some underclassmen to keep an eye on should they declare such as Tolliver, Jones, and Barksdale.

Konica Minolta Gator Bowl   West Virginia vs Florida St. (1/1)

West Virginia- T Selvish Capers, RB Noel Devine*, QB Jarrett Brown

Florida St.- G Rodney Hudson*, CB Patrick Robinson, LB Dekoda Watson, DE Justin Mincey, TE Caz Piurowski, C Ryan McMahon*, T Zebrie Sanders**

The reason why I put Zebrie Sanders on here is because of that play where he didn't move an inch while EJ Manuel ran for his life. LOL great stuff it's on youtube check it out. I hope it happens again. Capers at one point was considered a mid round pick and then was mentioned in round 1 now mid to low round 2 he could use a big game. I hope Rodney Hudson plays I like him. I don't think Ponder is playing either.

Citi Rose Bowl   Ohio St. vs Oregon   (1/1)

Ohio St.- DE Cameron Heyward*, DE/LB Thaddeus Gibson*, OL Jim Cordle, S Kurt Coleman, S Anderson Russell, DE Lawrence Wilson, DT Doug Worthington, QB Terrelle Pryor**

Oregon- TE Ed Dickson, S TJ Ward, RB LeGarrette Blount, DE William Tukuafu, CB Walter Thurmond, RB LaMichael James**

I know Thurmond was hurt I can't remember if it was season ending or if the possibility was left open for a bowl game and guess what I'm too lazy to look. This could be a big game for Blount it will be his second game back and with a decent game could get back in the mid round talk. Keep an eye on Heyward and Gibson they are intriguing prospects.

Allstate Sugar Bowl   Florida vs Cincinnati  (1/1)

Florida- CB Joe Haden*, LB Brandon Spikes, DE Carlos Dunlap*(if he stopped drinking?), QB Tim IForgotHisName, TE Aaron Hernandez*, DT Lawrence Marsh*, S Major Wright*, DE/LB Jermaine Cunningham, WR David Nelson, G/C Pouncey Twins, LB Dustin Doe, LB Ryan Stamper, RET Brandon James, T Carl Johnson*, T Marcus Gilbert*, S Will Hill*, CB Janoris Jenkins**, some others I'm sure

Cincinnati- WR Mardy Gilyard, QB Tony Pike, T/G Jeffery Likenbach, WR Armon Binns*, DE Alex Daniels

Whatever happend to Vidal Hazelton? He transfered to Cincy from USC and was never heard from again. Anyway This could be a huge game for Gilyard and Pike. Hopefully we see plenty of Gilyard vs Haden and get to see pressure on Pike and see how he reacts. This is a intriguing game. I'm a big fan of Binns by the way.

International Bowl    South Florida vs Northern Illinois (1/2)

South Florida- DE Jason Pierre Paul*, DE/LB George Selvie, CB Jerome Murphy, S Nate Allen

Northern Illinois- K Michael Salerno, C Edwin Adamski

Seems just like yesterday Selvie was a top 10 pick. Nate Allen could either be a high pick (if some safeties decide to stay in school) or a later pick (if the safeties decide to get paid) but he is damn good. Should be a big game for JPP and Selvie.

Papajohns.com Bowl   South Carolina vs UCONN  (1/2)

South Carolina- LB Eric Norwood, TE Wesley Saunders*, DE Cliff Matthews*, S Darian Stewart, WR Alshon Jeffery***

UCONN- DE Lindsey Witten, S Robert Vaughn, RB Andre Dixon, WR Marcus Easly

South Carolina has a pair of interesting underclassmen in Saunders and Matthews. Witten of UCONN could rise up draft boards with workouts.

AT&T Cotton Bowl       Oklahoma St. vs Ole Miss (1/2)

Oklahoma St.- T Russell Okung, CB Perrish Cox, G Andrew Lewis, LB/S Andre Sexton, DT Swanson Miller, QB Zach Robinson, RB Keith Toston

Ole Miss- QB Jevan Snead*, G John Jerry, WR? Dexter McCluster, DE Greg Hardy, WR Shay Hodge, DT Jerrell Powe*

It's a shame we won't see Dez Bryant in this game. Hardy/Okung could be an interesting matchup. Hardy can be seen in mocks as high as #10 or as low as the 2nd round, durability concerns could drop him but a good showing against the top OL in the draft could change that. This could be a make or break game for Snead as far as draft stock goes.

AutoZone Liberty Bowl        Arkansas vs East Carolina (1/2)

Arkansas- QB Ryan Mallett*, G Mitch Petrus, RB Michael Smith, RB Broderick Green*, DT Malcolm Sheppard

East Carolina- DE CJ Wilson, S Van Eskridge, G Doug Palmer

Could see a nice matchup of Sheppard and Palmer who are likely late round picks. Eskridge is another solid safety who could drop due to the depth of underclassmen. All eyes will be on Ryan Mallett.

Valermo Alamo Bowl      Michigan St. vs Texas Tech (1/2)

Michigan St.- LB Greg Jones*, K Brett Swenson, WR Blair White, DE Trevor Anderson

Texas Tech- DE Brandon Sharpe, G Brandon Carter, CB Jamar Wall

Brandon Sharpe has been a very good player this year and could be found in the rounds 3-4. Greg Jones is the one to watch though in this game he could be a 1st round or early 2nd round pick if he comes out.

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl      Boise St. vs TCU  (1/4)

Boise St.- CB Kyle Wilson, FB Richie Brockel, QB Kellen Moore**, WR Austin Pettis*, WR Titus Young*

TCU- DE/LB Jerry Hughes, LB Darryl Washington, G Marshall Newhouse, WR Jimmy Young*, QB Andy Dalton**

Should be a fun game to watch, lets see if Hughes can wreak havoc on Boise St.

FedEx Oragne Bowl     Iowa vs Georgia Tech   (1/5)

Iowa- T Bryan Bulaga*, T Kyle Calloway, LB Pat Angerer, LB AJ Edds, DE Adrian Clayborn*, TE Tony Moeaki, G Dan Doering (he got benched), QB Ricky Stanzi*(if cleared to play)

Georgia Tech- DE Derrick Morgan*, S Morgan Burnett*, RB Jonathan Dwyer*, WR Demaryius Thomas*, T/G Cord Howard

Very interesting game. Derrick Morgan vs Bryan Bulaga is a great matchup to watch both are 1st round picks both could move up with a good showing. Can Iowa hold Dwyer? Will Demaryius Thomas have a break out game? WIll Morgan Burnett cement his spot in round 1 should he choose to come out? Oh I can't wait for this game.

GMAC Bowl     Central Michigan vs Troy (1/6)

Central Michigan- QB Dan LeFevour, WR Bryan Anderson, WR Antonio Brown*, DE Frank Zombo

Troy- DE/LB Brandon Lang, LB Cameron Sheffield, LB Boris Lee, QB Levi Brown, WR Josh Jarboe**

Troy has some very interesting prospects on defense lead by Brandon Lang but all eyes will be on Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour to see if he can creep into round 2 or make Al Davis fall in love with him and possibaly take him in round 1 (joking it is meant to be a joke but with Al Davis who knows?).

Citi BCS National Championship Game   TCU  Texas vs Alabama (1/7)

Texas- S Earl Thomas*, DE/LB Sergio Kindle, QB Colt McCoy, WR Jordan Shipley, LB Roddrick Muckelroy, DL Lamarr Houston, T Adam Ulatoski, LB Keenan Robinson**, C Chris Hall, LB Jared Norton, CB Deon Beasley, K Hunter Lawrence, DE Sam Acho*, CB Chykie Brown*, WR Malcolm Williams**, G David Snow**

Alabama- LB Rolando McClain*, DT Terrance Cody, G Mike Johnson, CB Javier Arenas, CB Kareem Jackson*, DE/DT Brandon Deaderick, TE Colin Peek, S Justin Woodall, LB Brandon Fanney, K Leigh Tiffin, RB Mark Ingram**, WR Julio Jones**, LB Donta Hightower**(injured but I really like this kid)

I like the the chance to see Deaderick vs Ulatoski and to see how Arenas and Jackson do against the Texas WRs. It's always fun to watch Mike Johnson and we should keep an eye on Terrance Cody.

Hope this helps some of you to know which players you might want to pay a little more attention to during the upcoming bowl season. If you feel I left anyone off by all means let me know and I'll add them.

Feel free

to add on or redo it. I’m bored and we got a ton of snow so there is absolutely nothing to do so I did this.

Nice work bro

Coleman really broke out in the second half of the season for Auburn. I still think Ben Tate is going to have the best career out of any of the other midround backs. Tommy Trott used to be considered a receiving tight end, but not anymore ever since he blew the shit out of his knee. He’s pretty much purely a blocker now.

not sure if you were the one I pointed it out to a while back or not

but Doering rode the bench this year, beat out by Dace Richardson, Julian Vandervelde and Riley Reiff in the guard pecking order.

that's impressive

I probably couldn’t name that many college players even if I wasn’t restricted to upperclassmen with drat prospects

Very Nice except...

you left off WR Marcus Easley out of UConn. 6’2 215 lb 4.4 speed and after he was named a starter in October he dominated every game since then.

What is the opinion on Qb's

TCU’s Andy Dalton and Boise State’s Kellen Moore?

Would they be a good late round selection?

Moore is tiny.

He’s about 6"0 tall, at least that’s what he’s listed as. He’s also a sophmore. He may be something tho, but he’s staying 2 more years.

Dalton is a junior. He’s pretty big at 6"3. I haven’t seen much of TCU’s games, but I see they pretty much run that spread offense thing. That’s all I know on him, other then he’s put him monster numbers.

Dalton would probably be a good late round pick…tho, he also may be no better or worse than Sam Bradford….

Pretty much what FB said,

In 2012 I could see Kellen Moore going between rounds 3-5
Next year I think Dalton has a good chance to be a mid round pick

Its gonna be interesting to see Dalton during the Bowl week tho isn't it?

I mean, no one doubts he can ball.

I guess Boise State isn’t the so call big opponent I would’ve liked to see them face…I’d much rather them face Florida or something like that, but it should be a good gauge of what he can do.

Still kinda stupid that these 2 gotta play each other. Defeats the purpose IMO.

Much rather it be Boise-Cincy, TCU Florida…or vice versa.

I agree

I hate the Boise/TCU matchup for the reason they are playing each other, I agee with Boise/Cincy and TCU/Florida.

TCU/Alabama

Texas/Cincy Boise/Florida

Since if there’s under 1 second left when the ball goes out of bounds the game is over. But the BCS fixed all those annoying little inconveniences.

Interested to see where

people think FSU’s LB Dekoda Watson might go. I’m thinking 5-6 round and as a special teams player only. Any thoughts on his strengths and weaknesses? By the way Hudson should be ready for the game although Ponder has no chance of playing. Also keep an eye out on LB Nigel Bradham. I think he is a future star.

I have the same thinking as you on Watson with the rounds 5-6 as his likely landing spot. I will admit I haven’t watched alot of Florida St. the past couple years unless it was a decent game (Miami, NC, etc.)

I think Watson will test out very well in the combine. He has deceptive strength and quickness. Runs a rumored 4.57 which could place him among the top tier of OLBs at the combine which naturally would have Al Davis drooling. From what I’ve seen he has trouble reacting to play actions and screens. Not sure how well he would do in man coverage in the NFL but I feel he would be very good in zone coverages.

I’m definately keeping an eye on him during the Gator Bowl.

Are you an FSU fan? How have Jaccobi McDaniel and Demonte McAllister fared this season?

I Live

In J-Ville, so I watch a few quarters of FSU’s games every weekend. Like you said, he bites on play action a little too hard, especially on first down. I also saw him run by some screens in the Miami game; over pursuit can be a problem at times for him as well, but he has pretty nice speed which makes up for it. However in the NFL speed can’t save you like it can in college.

Thanks for the comments

tj.hendricks in regards to McDaniel and McAllister. Both had decent, but not outstanding seasons. Our problem was the other guys playing on the line. McAllister I think will grown into a game changer next year and I expect him to move to the end. McDaniel I think is too small to use as a every down lineman, however if he adds 10-15 pounds in the off season he could become unblockable. By the way FSU just hired Mike Stoops from Arizona as their defensive coordinator so I expect FSU to move to a 4-3 defense next year.

“Whatever happend to Vidal Hazelton? He transfered to Cincy from USC and was never heard from again.”

The NCAA denied his request to become immediately eligible, so he had to sit this year out.

by kirby28 on Dec 14, 2009 10:35 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Vidal Hazelton named MVP for Cincy Bearcats Scout Team by Brian Kelly

Vidal Hazelton has been one of the MAIN reason why the Bearcats are ranked #3 in the country. He was recently named the MVP of the Bearcats Scout Team by Brian Kelly. He is the best receiver they have and will be a force in 2010. Many NFL scouts have him high on their boards.
 http://www.insidesocal.com/usc/archives/2009/12/picture-of-the-127.html

According to BearCats Insider Publisher Dave Berk
http://cincinnati.scout.com/2/889839.html

“Vidal Hazelton: As many know now Hazelton is a star who must sit out this fall after his transfer from USC. If Hazelton stays healthy he’ll be a player NFL teams will be looking to draft after the 2010 season. He’s got a big body and is very smooth in his route running and pass catching ability. This is one of the best wide receivers I’ve had the chance to watch and Bearcat fans will love what they see next season.”

“Today’s afternoon practice was attended by a scout for the Seahawks who told Bearcat Insider there is a lot of talent on the field the NFL is looking at in Cincinnati. Mardy Gilyard and Tony Pike look to be two players eyes are on along with Vidal Hazelton the transfer out of USC. "

Vidal will be one of the Bearcats main weapons for 2010. Because of Pete Carroll’s bias Vidal transferred to the Bearcats. This kid is a stud. He has proved it over and over.

According to Mike Farrell of ESPN/Rivals.com "Vidal was the best WR at the All American game who stared: Percy Harvin, Matthew Stafford, Tim Tebow and Chris "Bennie Wells (Vidal’s roomate).

According to USC teammates "He brought out the best in the USC players. The WRs at USC would beg Vidal not to talk trash to the USC LB (Ray and Cushing) but he would do it to see what everyone was made off. The WR’s coach at USC, John Morton, nicknamed him “BadAss”. Vidal is a NFL caliber WR no doubt. I see him a 1st round draft 2010. Google “Vidal Hazelton” for all the updates on him.
