Scouting report: Kenny Britt
Kenny Britt
6'4, 215 pounds Rutgers | Wide receiver
Strengths: Of all the top receivers in this year's class outside of Michael Crabtree, Britt has the most ideal size/speed combination. While he won't break a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash, Britt's speed is good. Runs solid routes and really bursts into and out of his cuts. Does not mind going over the middle. Hard to take down after the catch, Britt runs with a lot of aggression and power. Attacks seams against zone coverage. Willing and adequate as a blocker.
Weaknesses: Britt needs to learn some of the technical aspects of the wide receiver position. He uses his hands poorly to beat press coverage. Will look to get up the field before making a catch and drop the pass. Body catches too frequently even though he has good hands. Doesn't make a lot of plays near the sideline. Will struggle to separate after the catch. Takes a bit of time to get up to top speed. Was only average against an aggressive Cincinnati team as a junior. Not as much of a scorer as would be expected. Had 17 touchdowns his whole career.
Final word: In just three years and 34 games, Britt became the all-time receiving yards leader in the Big East. Third-team Associated Press All American. First-team All Big East in 2008. Britt has the ability to really dominate games, as seen against West Virginia, South Florida and Army in 2008. If he can improve on dropping passes, Britt has the talent to become the best receiver in this class, Crabtree included.

Britt doesn't really have a problem with dropping passes
rather, that’s a consequence of Mike “Overthrows” Teel.
