Kevin Ellison, Southern California - 4.82
Thoughts:
- Malcolm Jenkins kind of made me look like a fool. Not only did he run poorly, had bad form in agility drills and struggled locating the ball.
- Deion Sanders was a great analyst during the secondary drills. He was really knowledgable. It's always nice to see his humble side.
- Kevin Ellison basically ran himself into being a linebacker.
- Vontae Davis, Asher Allen, Joe Burnett and Darius Butler had good Combines. Davis had 25 behcn press repittions and Allen and Burnett had 22 each. All four looked good in positional drills. That may shake up my cornerback rankings some.
- Why? Because guys like Victor Harris, D.J. Moore and Coye Francies did really poorly today.
- William Moore did as much as he needed to do to remain the top free safety, but Louis Delmas had a great day.
- Chip Vaughn was impressive, as was Jamarca Samford, one of my favorite players, personally, in the draft.

Did Bruton move up your board after today?
Along with the 2nd fastest 40 for a safety, he had the best Vertical and Broad Jump, 3 cone drill, and 60 yard shuttle (2nd fastest at the combine).
He’s also (arguably) the best special teams player in the draft, which could help lots of teams (Vikings come to mind right away).
As the only ND player at the combine, I’m glad he had a good day.

Yeah, a little bit
I think a lot of people expected him to have a good Combine. For me, there are still questions about his coverage ability and pass defense instincts.
