Scouting report: Tyrell Sutton

Tyrell Sutton

5'8, 205 pounds | Northwestern | Running back

Strengths:
Sutton gets by on his instincts and quickness. He hits holes quickly and runs hard. Shows good agility in space. Excellent receiver who had 30 or more receptions every year. Knows how to run good routes and lined up at receiver on occasion. Good hands as a receiver.

Weaknesses: After a promising freshman season, Sutton faced a lot of injury problem that slowed him the rest of his career. Doesn't have good power. Poor deep speed. Struggles with ball security. Poor blocker.

Final word: Sutton's toughness and receiving skill will get him a spot in the NFL. However, his size and lack of speed will stop him from being anything more than a third-down back.

Round projection: 6
