Is Aaron Curry going to drop on draft day?
That is the speculation from Rob Rang of CBS Sports, NFLDraftScout.com and several other places where his work is republished but not changed at all.
Rang's theory is based on the rise of Mark Sanchez and the questions about Curry's ability to play in the 3-4 defense.
He doesn't, however, explain at all why Kansas City would even pass on Curry. The Chiefs haven't indicated a switch to the 3-4. There also isn't a player at the third spot near as good as Curry, unless the Chiefs really want to add more talent to the offensive line. Do linebackers usually get taken that high? No, but Curry is an exceptional talent.
This kind of story just indicates that some folks are getting kind of loopy coming up with something to write about. This point in the process, the speculation starts becoming truth, and that's no good.

Where's pick 52?
I always check this site at 9AM, noon, and 3pm.
I agree, some stories are just stories for the sake of bringing news to the table. I think everyone’s just tired of the same mock drafts and want to shake up the top 10 picks.
Crabtree to KC with 3
would be my assumption if they pass up Curry. They’ve got a new offensively minded coach, why not give him someone opposite Dwayne Bowe to play with? It’d run contrary to Pioli’s programming, but in terms of value, he’s really the only guy who’s not Curry or an OT that makes sense.
