Reviewing the Favre trade

PrintI was just curious what Jets fans think about the Favre trade now. If the Jets had made the playoffs, they would have had to give the Packers a 2nd round pick. If they had to give it away to the Packers, I doubt the Jets would have had enough ammo to trade up and get Mark Sanchez. I was just wondering if you Jets fans are still happy they choked away a playoff berth or if you would rather have the playoff berth and no franchise quarterback.

I would rather...
have had the Jets never trade for favre at all…then clemens/ratliff could have shown what they had last season (clemens with a decent line this time) and chances are, lets face it, they would have been picking top 10 as a result. So, they would have had never traded away that pick, have a better idea on whether they need Sanchez, and perhaps been in a situation to pick him without having to move up at all. Thats what i would have preferred. But as we all know they had to go and make the idiotic move of trading for favre which worked out just like i thought it would.
Im glad this happened because it allowed the Browns to get Mangini and to trade down

Hes underated. If Favre wouldnt have fallen apart the jets would have made the playoffs and people would be talking about how good mangini is.

This was a bad trade for the Jets
they had to give one of their draft picks for Farve. not to say he wasn’t a good pickup, buyt expesnive for a QB for 1 year.
