Let the signings begin
The San Francisco 49ers announced shortly ago that rookies Scott McKillop (fifth round) and Ricky Jean-Francois have been signed to four-year contracts.
Not counting first overall selection Matthew Stafford being inked by the Lions, they are the first signing from the 2009 NFL Draft.
This, for no good reason, begs the question: Who will be the first-round pick to hold out the longest? Share your choice and why in the comments.
I'm going to go with Aaron Maybin, taken 11th by the Bills. Why? Just a hunch. His agent knows the Bills need him badly.

With Thomas Jones and Leon Washington sitting out as of right now
a Shonn Greene holdout would be interesting. Though he may want to beat those two into camp to insure himself a nice chunk of the carries.
DHB maybe
I could see Al Davis being stubborn and ruining this young man’s chance to contribute in his rookie year.
Jason Smith
since they are gonna play him on the right

Andre Smith
Just a hunch, but he knows the Bengals need him badly as well.

Brian Orakpo
With the Redskins. They really need an outside pass rush to go along with Haynesworth collapsing the pocket, and Orakpo could milk that need as long as he wants.

I agree, him or Sanchez.
Orakpo probably feels like he should get paid like a top 6 pick or something, so I can see him holding out.
2010 Seahawks Mock: 1A: Eric Berry S, 1B: Ndamukong Suh DT, 2: Charles Brown OT, 4:Zac Robinson QB, 5: Stafon Johnson RB 6: Will Tukuafu DE, 7: Kerry Meier WR
Also acceptable, trade for Patrick Chung and draft Ed Wang so everyone can Wang Chung tonight.

About that as well. But it is stupid for a quarterback who is going to be given every opportunity to miss time in training camp. Depends on how he feels of being a first year starter…

Nah Man
He was pretty good this past season; factoring in the no good receivers and o-line.

and there's the part about him being stuck in Oakland
That organization sucks the talent out of any player they have there

I don't know about Sanchez
Not because the Jets don’t need him. Just because the Jets have never been known to be even remotely stingy. They’ll give him a great deal and there wont be much to hold out for.
My guess is Orakpo.
He will want to wait until the Bills sign Maybin abd try to get the same contract.
Playing Realistic Optimist at Buffalo Rumblings since 2008. Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.
Crabtree...
He probably feels like he should have been a top 5 pick, and might initially insist on being paid like one.
