They wont have the first pick in the draft. I doubt they will even pick in the top 10. The reason they did bad last year was because of so many injuries, especially at QB( Quinn, Anderson, and Dorsey were all injured and we had to use a 4th string guy)

Thats What
Happened to the Jags as well. All of those mocks have J-Ville picking top ten. We are in a rebuilding mode, but nothing major. 8 wins seems to be the accepted expectation next season.

Who was injured for you all(just wondering)?
We had Quinn, anderson, Dorsey(all QBs), Stallworth, Edwards(WRs),Heiden, Winslow(TEs), Steinbach, Tucker (OL)all go down on offense, and they were all starters at sometime in the season.
On Defense Robaire Smith( our 07 leader in sacks), Corey Williams(another DE), Beau Bell, and Peek go down.
I know there were more injuries than that, but those are the ones i know off the top of my head.
The Browns did good in FA, we didnt sign any big names but they still did pretty good. And the Browns did great in the Draft, especially if you include what they got for trading down.

Most of Them
Came on the offensive line. This really shut our offense down, because the Jags rely on a power running game to set up the playaction pass downfield. Brad Meester, Vince Manuwai, Mo Williams and Chris Naole all were out for the whole or at least 7 games of the season. Jerry Porter was hurt, as was Reggie Nelson and Rashean Mathis. We then saw Mike Peterson get benched and Dennis Northcutt seemed to be in the doghouse until the last three games of the season.
Our offense collapsed, and our defense had to many problems at some core positions to stop anybody. Injuries really hurt the Browns as well. The Jags and the Browns both had high expectations going into the season, but injuries really struck. They can derail a team fast.

I’m just wondering why did u all take britton in the second when u already had tra and monroe

Staying True to BAP
Britton was predicted to go as high as 18th overall before the Jay Cutler trade. For Britton to fall to the second round was a steal. The guy will be our right tackle for years to come; and will most likely start by the beginning of this season. Tra Thomas and Eugene Monroe are competing for the left tackle spot. If Thomas wins, he can serve as a stopgap and mentor Monroe. If Monroe wins, Thomas can still serve as a stopgap and provide outstanding depth at both tackle spots.
This really kicks off our subtle rebuilding stage. Now that we have the offensive line fortified, next years draft I’m predicting they take a defensive tackle in the first or third.

The Browns have their offensive line set up now so i hope they go with positions like S, DE, and RB

I highly doubt Sam Bradford will be the #1 pick
If he is, he has Alex Smith/Tim Couch written all over him
He doesnt come from a spread offense or anything. He has good size. Fine arm strength. Good mobility. Excellent accuracy. All the intangibles. Why do u think he will do bad?

Oklahoma
Runs the spread to an extent. They go from undercenter as well though, so I guess both sides could be argued.

i just think sam will be able to transition to the NFL easily. BTW, what did u think when the jags released your all’s best all time RB

Every
Jag fan had a hard time dealing with the release of Fred Taylor, myself included. But it was a movement to get the team younger, and symbolizes perhaps a new era in Jacksonville. Fred really is my favorite player to ever play the game, and I hope he can finish his career by passing Jim Brown on the all time rushing list.

Bradford comes from possibly
the definition of a spread offense at OU. He makes 0 pre snap reads, that’s what he’s doing when he looks to the sideline. They have 4-5 WR out there on nearly every pass play.
So if Graham Harrel or Chase Daniel were a bit taller with stronger arms, they’d be top picks too? I really don’t thinks so. NFL teams have to be scared of these types of guys after all the system busts in the league (or out of the league).
He has the completion % you want, but its a product of the system.
Him and COlt McCoy are said to be the best QB’s in next year’s class. DOn’t get me wrong, they are 2 great college QB’s. But if you look at guys Tim Couch, Alex SMith and Vince YOung….same thing.
Don’t get me wrong, if either of these guys were drafting either late in round 1 or in the 2nd round, a team could let them wait for a few years (at least 2 seasons on the bench).
Of course I could be wrong….But I know for a fact that if my team drafted #1 overall next year I would NOT want him.
I Don't
See why everyone is so down on the Jags next season. Only won 5 games, I know, but they are without a doubt in for about 8 wins next season.

Division is good?
Everyone thinks Garrard is a fluke? (Not my personal opinion, but a possibility?)
OL and DL not what it once was, though with Monroe and Britton, maybe it will be?
McCoy McCoy 2010, also acceptable, Russell Okung, Ndamukong Suh, Dez Bryant, Ciron Black, Trent Williams, and Bryan Baluga.
just a heads up
it’s Bulaga, he is a large man, but he isn’t a whale

per Scout.com's mock:
Al Davis will not select Eric Berry, or anyone from UT now that Lane is the coach.
However, Berry is a top-5 pick if he comes out. Personally, I hope he stays one more year and slips to the Colts.
no. the browns will take him if he slips out of the top 10. (we wont be picking from there again)

Hehe I'm kinda late to this party
but I dropped my 2010 1st round mock over at TST earlier this month.
Your uncle molests collies.
the browns will be better than 5th worst this year, and if we were, we wouldnt take spikes. We drafted two ILBs this year and one last year, and plus we signed ruud in the free agency
