2010 NFL Draft rankings: Running backs
The senior running back class features a lot of powerful rushers, but none of them are real stars. The top senior back is Clemson's C.J. Spiller, who is dissimilar to some of the other top seniors. Spiller is somewhat undersized at 195 pounds, but lightning fast. The same can be said for the second best junior running back, Jahvid Best of California.
Touting smaller running backs like Best and Spiller is difficult, though. Consider that both of them are listed at 195 pounds. Of the 16 1,000-yard rushers in the NFL last season, none weighed less than 200 pounds.
The lightest was Chris Johnson of the Titans at 200 even. In the defense of Best and Spiller, both Johnson and Steve Slaton of the Texans weighed just under 200 pounds at the end of their senior seasons in college.
All that said, junior Jonathan Dwyer of Georgia Tech looks to be the best natural runner among those eligible for the 2010 NFL Draft. He's a great combination of power and speed.
Check out the running back rankings here. Use this thread to offer your own rankings or discussion. After the positional rankings are complete, a top 200 will be put together. This will be done before the college football season begins.

Yeah Dwyer looks like a monster. So does Jahvid Best. Im not as high on Spiller though
I also dont see why there is hype around Joe McKnight and Evan Royster. Neither impress me too much
" Of course Steroids should be allowed! I wanna see 700 foot home runs and 90 yard field goals! I litterally want to see someone's d**k get shoved in the dirt!"

I also think Blount is very good. Do you think he or Scott will last till the 3rd?

It’s possible because they’re probably going to time in the 4.6 range.
And like I said with McKnight, it’s hard to judge him. He’s a freak athlete, but we don’t get to see him a ton since he plays for USC.
As for Royster, it was kind of a toss up with him, Noel Devine, Harvey Unga and Kendall Hunter. Royster got the nod because he’s bigger than Devine and Hunter and more natural of a runner than Unga.
What is the difference in Best that you like him more than Spiller? They’re very similar to me.

What do you mean by this? Just that USC has a large stable of backs?

LOL at saying Blount is very similar to Brandon Jacobs.....
except for about 4 inches and 35 pounds…….
I think Javid Best is a Marshall Faulk clone. Him and Dwyer I see as the only real first rounders here (Best to me might be a top 5 pick), unless Spiller runs a Chris Johnson 40.
Don’t sleep on Royster, he’s a lot like LJ.
Do what Jerry Hairston do

Hmmm...
Not sold on the small RBs of this class…
"A player who conjugates a verb in the first person singular cannot be part of the squad, he has to conjugate the verb in the first person plural. We. We want to conquer. We are going to conquer. Using the word 'I' when you're in a group makes things complicated." ~ Wanderley Luxemburgo, 1999

How much money did Blount just cost himself tonight vs Boise State
I’m pretty sure Roger Goodell just preemptively suspended him for the first four games of his NFL career.
