Senior Bowl could be on the move

Unless things turn around quickly, the Senior Bowl might relocate from Mobile, Ala. in the near future.

According to AL.com, the Senior Bowl has paid a consulting firm $100,000 to find out if other cities are interested in the annual all-star game. Nine cities, all in NFL locales, have reportedly shown interest. Mentioned specifically were Jacksonville and Tampa.

The 2009 Senior Bowl lost more than $150,0000 and did not sell out. Chief sponsor Under Armour has told Senior Bowl officials it will only give more money if the game relocates.

One of the game's officials also said the NFL Network has pressured the Senior Bowl to move locations, something the NFL denies.

The Senior Bowl has been in Mobile since 1951. It is the top college football all-star game of the year, allowing NFL personnel members to closely observe most of the nation's top senior players.

Yeah, but he’s not a real top prospect and that’s where he’ll have to prove himself the most. I think he’d be stupid not to participate.

Yeah

Jacksonville, my hometown, it be interesting but i don’t know long term, gator fans around here will go this one year but i’m not sure wha happens after. Not sure about Tampa either.
