A Bengals Mock
My wanted Bengals Draft.
The Bengals need a saftey or wide reciever and with Earl Thomas and Morgan Burnett most likely off the board, and Taylor Mays being a bit of a reach I feel the next best thing would be Benn or Tate. Benn as an Andre Johnson build and would be a good compliment to Chad's speed because of his power. Tate on the other hand is like Wes Welker or Steve Smith in size and speed. Bringing him in would be like our Moss/Welker combo of receivers.
2nd Round: Darrell Stuckey [S] Kansas
The Bengals need a safety bad if the last 2 games taught us anything. Stuckey at this pick is a steal and would be higher if not for the 4 other safety's ahead of him. He has great intangibles and does not have character issues.
3rd Round: Eric Decker [WR] Minnesota or Jason Fox [OT] Miami (FL)
This pick largely depends on what happens in the first if the Bengals select Tate in round 1 then Decker would be a perfect additiongiven his size. He would be higher if it wasn't for durability concerns. If the Bengals select Benn in round1 than Jason Fox for O-Line depth would be perfect he is a 1st round talent with durability concerns also because of the knee surgery he this season.
4th Round: Aaron Hernandez [TE] Florida or Rob Gronkowski [TE] Arizona.
We all know that Foschi isn't the future and Coats should be banned from the city. That being said we need a TE more than almost anything as our opponents torched us with this season. Both these guys are play makers but Hernandez is also a great run blocker because of Florida system. Hernandez lead the team in catches, yards, and tds this year and ' not have injury concerns. Gronkowski just had back surgery and hasn't declared for the draft yet unlike Hernandez. I would perfer Hernandez more just because I'm a Florida fan and seen his skills used in action all season.
5th Round: Zac Robinson [QB] Oklahoma State or Sean Canfield [QB] Oregon State
We need a value able back-up in case of injury and i don't think J.T. or Jordan are value able. Both these QBsare great passers with Robinson also a capable runner. Robinson has experience throwing to great WRs with Dez Bryant.
6th Round:Brett Swenson [K] Michigan State
Do I really need to explain myself with this pick, but I will. Swenson is the #1 rated kicker in the draft going 71/91 in FGs and 164/166 PATs. He is also clutch in making the game winner when Michigan State came back from being down 38-3 on Northwestern.
7th Round: Leroy Vann [CB] Florida A&M
Vann doesn't have a true position in the NFL be that WRor CB. However is arguably the best KR/PR in the draft with 5TDs this season and 11 in the past 2 seasons. We could probably use himas Cleveland uses Josh Cribbs against us.
These are who I feel we should draft although there are other players that we should go after if we receive compensation picks.

Tate isn’t that similar to Welker because Tate is bigger and he can play outside, not just in the slot.

No
They’re pretty similar in size.

Hold it a second. You guys will be picking around twenty-second.
Burnett will definitely be there and Thomas might be. Benn and Tate are big reaches at this spot. They will probably both be picked in the second round.
If you want a WR, why not LaFell or Damian Williams? They are better than Benn and Tate IMO and one of them may be available around here.
Lafell is bigger than Tate, but that doesn’t make him better

I think I'd rather have Tate than Lafell
