Rock out with your mock draft out: Fox Sports

We should start seeing more of "rock out with your mock out," so long as I don't feel like being lazy. Which is likely.

This mock draft this time comes from Fox Sports. You can find it here. Everyone has access to the whole mock draft.

Several players from the Senior Bowl are featured in this draft. Dan Williams to Miami at pick 12. Dexter McCluster to New England at pick 47. Rodger Safford at pick 58 to Arizona. Your lord and majesty Tim Tebow gets picked in the second round by Denver.

The biggest surprise pick, to me, is Jared Odrick projected to Minnesota in the first round. While the Vikings will probably target a defensive tackle, I imagine it probably won't be in the first round Nor will it be someone like Odrick, who doesn't fit their scheme.

The first round is mostly by the numbers fare you're getting used to seeing. But if you're interested, check out the mock.

and Hughes, a 255lb college DE could play linebacker in Indy?

Unless the value is really gone elsewhere I can see Indy taking a edge rusher to rot on the bench for 2+ years behind Freeney and Mathis. 1st round is not for backups or guys will be blocked on the depth chart until 2012.

The biggest eye opener to me was Taylor Mays at 5

Do you mean 6th to Seattle? Still can’t see it in my book. I was unimpressed with Mays when I saw him play this year for UC, and the reports from the Senior Bowl practices are not encouraging.

Vikings run a Tampa-2 variant, so a 300-poundish athletic DT like Odrick could be a possibility. Pat Williams was a holdover from the previous regime, but he’s worked alright because he has unusual agility/pursuit for a 38-year-old obese man.
