Utah becoming can't-miss location for NFL scouts
Steve Luhm of the Salt Lake Tribune has a good story on how Utah has become a hot spot for NFL scouts to visit.
This year, six Utes were drafted in Koa Misi, Zane Beadles, Robert Johnson, David Reed, Steven Sylvester and R.J. Sanford.
Luhm talked to Jacksonville Jaguars national scout Andy Dengler who said Utah's players have become faster.
"The one thing I’ve noticed is their guys are faster, generally, than they used to be," Dengler said. "They’ve had guys like [Steve] Smith and [Kevin] Dyson in the past. But as a whole, they’ve recruited faster guys. Better players."
After junior cornerback Barndon Burton, Utah's NFL talent is down this year. Center Zane Taylor will probably hold a late-round grade. That may be it for Utah. Check out Scott Wright's breakdown of Burton here.
