NFL Draft 2011 rankings: Patrick Peterson, Mark Ingram among best of the best
Throughout the day, we've released our 2011 NFL Draft rankings in batches of 25. After the jump find 25-1.
Spotlight on: Cameron Jordan, DE, California
Not only does Cameron Jordan have a sweet hair style, but he's got a sweet playing style. He's been a wrecking ball as a senior with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. He's a power rusher with the size to play a 4-3 or 3-4. His quickness is good for his size and he uses his hands pretty well. At the point, he displays good strength and the ability to play the run. Jordan isn't the flashiest defensive end in the nation, but he's one of the most solid.
So that's the MTD top 150. Sometime after this post, I'll put the entire top 150 together in our top menu. If you want to see who missed the cut, the positional rankings have all been updated. See someone missing? Let me know.

I haven't seen any UCLA games
is Ayers a top 10 overall pick for a 4-3 team like say…the Giants? Seems a little to big
Winning cures all...even stupid
I think he’s better suited for a 3-4, but I also don’t think he’ll measure at 6’4. That’s just what UCLA has out there, so I have to go with it.
Still, what’s two inches? But to me, Ayers compares best in his playing style to Karlos Dansby – can play either scheme, inside or out. And as it happens, Dansby is also 6’4.

good stuff.
if he’s more like Dansby, his size is an advantage to any scheme.
Winning cures all...even stupid
Yea he was listed at 6 3 coming out of high school. Those measurements are usually exaggerated and there’s a very small chance he grew.

Do you recall the last time you wouldn’t have had an OT in your top 25? I agree with you it’s a bad year for the position. We can be sure at least a couple will go in round 1, though.
Ingram
Ingram is a stud. I have him listed as the top running back in the draft. http://sportsfansam.blogspot.com/2010/10/offensive-prospect-of-week-mark-ingram.html
