Patrick Peterson will wait to announce draft decision

Photo

For those waiting for LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson to announce his NFL Draft intentions, don't hold your breath. Although everyone expects Peterson to enter the draft, we won't officially know until after LSU's bowl game.

"This is my last time playing here this season," Peterson told reporters leading up to Saturday's Ole Miss game. "But me and my dad and Coach Les Miles and the other coaches will come together after the bowl game and weigh the options."

On the year, Peterson has 33 tackles, nine pass deflections, five pass breakups, four interceptions and a blocked kick. His stellar special teams play has put Peterson at another level. He's averaging 16.7 yards per punt return with two touchdowns. He's also averaging 27.5 yards per kick return.

It would be foolish for him not to declare

He is a top 10 player.

He wouldn't

Be the first star player to do. Ndamukong Suh did it, still went #2, and is still hugely successful at the next level.

The only foolish thing is forgetting that the average career of an NFL player is 4 years. Diplomas last a lifetime.

CLF was right. Stanton should be starting, and Hill can’t do anything until he’s behind in the fourth quarter.

Look what happened to Jake Locker

He came back….that didn’t bode well for him. It’s a toss up when making that decision. I also think that Clayborn lost a few spots this year as well.

hahaha

dad: “good thinking, we should talk about whether you should get into the draft and make millions upon millions as a top 10 pick… or finish college and possibly drop your stock and lose those millions of dollars”

Peterson: “… … …”

dad: “good choice son”
