National Football Post - Scouts notebook: defense
Wes Bunting notes some players on defense that he's been impressed with and a couple that have been lackluster. Virgnia cornerback Chase Minnifield is among those getting cheered, and for good reason. National audiences got to see Minnifield pick apart the Miami offense with two interceptions last Saturday. The junior has six picks on the year and is someone to watch. Get Bunting's offensive notes here.
Sporting News - A new mock draft
This is kind of nuts. They have Dallas taking California defensive end Cameron Jordan second overall. Jordan is a good player, but not that good.
JB Scouting - Weekly stock report
If you've always wanted to get a better grasp on small-school prospects, JB Scouting is the place to go. Check out this week's movers to learn about guys no one knows about.
ESPN.com - HBCU players who could play in NFL
Writer dishes on some players from historically all-black schools that could make it in the NFL. The best is probably productive Hampton defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis.
Houston Chronicle - A&M's Fuller may come back for more
The talented Texas A&M wide receiver that few talk about is leaning toward returning for his senior season. On the year, Fuller has 55 receptions for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns.
ESPN.com (Insider) - Mel Kiper ranks the top five non-seniors by position
Kiper is starting to fall in love with Cam Newton. One player that Kiper ranks that no one talks about is Texas Tech Temple defensive tackle Muhammed Wilkerson. He's 6-foot-5, 305 pounds and quick.
Bleeding Green Nation - A far too early look at the Eagles' potential draft targets JimmyK breaks down the Eagles, noting that they need offensive linemen first and foremost. Trouble for the Eagles is that this is a bad draft for such a need.

I dunno
Jordan is a large man and very productive. And like the Jags fan said (and like this Knicks fan will tell you about Landry Fields) scouting sometimes doesn’t notice those West coast Gems, but sometimes someone does/
I doubt that someone is Jerry Jones, he’s probably more likely to draft AJ Green.
As for the NYGs, Wisniewski is a solid prospect, but I don’t think he fits their mold for a center. The position overall is just one they don’t value (they passed up sure thing Maurkice Pouncey for JPP).
I can’t see how Mark Ingram would fall that far, nor fall past the Giants if he was available. The running game, Jacobs especially, has been rejuvenated, but Ingram and Bradshaw would be lethal.

Ingram is good value there
Wisniewski is not. He is not at the level Pouncey or Mack were coming out of college.
What do you think of Rodgers? He may be short, but he’s got a little build to him like Emmitt had. I like his speed, he could be that Spiller-type player that a few Giants fans wanted this year. He’d probably make a good returner. Not sure he is a first rounder yet.
Rodgers would be a steal
I dunno what the Giants would do with that tho, we know that the team will basically only draft a player in any round that they feel has good size for the position.
Quizz is a bowling ball, he’s probably got a lot in common with MJD, tho MJD is about 210lbs even if he’s 5"6.
I’d draft him if he’s there in the third (and no RB in 1 or 2). But I doubt the Giants do that.

I don't know
About Jordan top three, but I can definitely see top ten. I had him top ten in my mock. He is really disruptive and has good quickness. To me he looks just as good a prospect as Marcel Dareus, albeit a little smaller.

Picking Locker a year after picking Clausen is lunacy.
Of course, pulling your starting QB after three games is all the rage these days. Why build a franchise for the future when you can go from 4-12 to 6-10 now.

You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.
