Baltimore Ravens team needs

The Baltimore Ravens are one of the league’s most consistent teams. They have found their quarterback of the future and have a dominating running game, which makes them a perennial Super Bowl contender. The defense is aging but still capable of dominating a game. What the Ravens are looking for is that thing to put them over the edge. What is that thing?

1. Wide Receiver

- Derrick Mason is a good receiver but he retired at the beginning of last season (but returned) so a long term replacement needs to be found. Also there isn’t a good #2 receiver option on the team; Mark Clayton has failed to fill that role. The offense needs to upgrade its passing game in order to relieve presser on the running game. Their position in the first round might be too early for some of the receivers and too late for Dez Bryant.

2. Tight End

- Todd Heap still has some ability left but he has struggled with injuries and LJ Smith didn’t work out. Like I stated under the receiver section they need to upgrade the talent in the passing game. Someone like Aaron Hernandez and Jermaine Gresham might be a good option in round 1.

3. Linebacker

- Ray Lewis must live near the fountain of youth because he continues to perform at a very high level. None the less this is a position that they need to think forward with. They will never be able to replace Lewis but they could get someone in there now to learn behind him.

The Seahawks will probably give up Branch for not much.

Or maybe even Housh for something (depending on how competitive PC thinks we can be this year).

Wow...

I just broke the 30/30 tie in the poll.

The first round pick for a veteran WR might be a bit much.

However, if they can acquire Marshall or Boldin, I say do it. Outside of those 2 (which they would most likely have to add more), I wouldn’t.

Agreed

The Ravens have too many holes to give up there 1st round pick. A second or third for Marsahll or Boldin with some additional compensation such as a player or lower picks would be a bonanza for Flacco and the Ravens offense.

A corner with shut-down potential would be a help in the secondary. With the age of Ed Reed and Ray Lewis an infusion of talented replacements is also a must.

Get one through the draft

Its a close race but the Ravens need to keep building through the draft they have been doing a great job so far

If that fist rounder is Ted Ginn than yes.

As a Raven’s fan, I feel WR is our main concern. However after that I feel we need more help at CB and DE, but I do see why you have tight end. We are pretty thin at CB and did a terrible job of getting to the QB. We will need to find another LB in the near future, but we do have some young guys there and don’t feel that is as big of a concern as CB and DE.

The top 3 is by far

1. WR
2. DE
3. CB

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
