Darrell Green is still faster than you (and most cornerbacks)
How does Hall of Fame defensive back Darrell Green celebrate his 50th birthday? Easy. By running a 40-yard dash.
And what did the Redskins great do? Well, he ran a 4.43. I typed that right and you read it right. Darrell Green. Retired in 2002. Ran a freaking 4.43.
That is faster than all 36 cornerbacks who ran at the NFL Scouting Combine last year. Sure, Green probably ran on a fast surface. But a 4.43 at 50. Unreal.
For you youngsters out there who didn't get to watch Green, there's a solid video after the jump. Watch it.

Gault
There was a news clip on Willie Gault last year. He’s still running 4.3’s.
Darrell Green
Still one of my favorite CB’s, the guy was awesome. Not like Woodson or Sanders, but he was phenomenal nonetheless.
I remember some top rookie QB getting baited by Green in the preseason, he was 4 yards behind the receiver when the ball was thrown, he picked it off with no trouble. The commentators laughed and stated that Darrell did that to young QB’s all the time. I think he was upper 30’s or 40 at the time.
Damn, thats impressive
kinda of like a few years ago I heard Nolan Ryan could still throw a baseball 85 MPH at something like 60 years old
