YAY creativity!

BOOO for not being creative with the Giants!

…Spikes would be OK in the 2nd I guess. Prefer Darrly Washington

by FreeBradshaw on Feb 19, 2010 11:49 AM EST reply actions

yeah, i cannot think of anybody else for the Giants

of course we never know what will happen, but if the draft went this way, than im sure they take Thomas

well...I guess you missed Brian Price.

cuz you dropped him out of the first round. He could be gone by #15, but likely falls cuz he’s not suited for 3-4 schemes. He’s an option, as are Dan Williams and Bruce Campbell.

To me..if ET is the best player at #15, it makes sense.

But if ET is no better then say…Nate Allen, it makes zero sense to me to reach for a player when essentially an equal one is there in the 2nd round.

If Price..or Williams or Campbell etc are better then ET at #15…they better be the picks.

by FreeBradshaw on Feb 19, 2010 12:29 PM EST up reply actions

no i believe Earl Thomas is a top 15 player. Way better than Nate Allen or any of those 3rd tier Safeties. I like Price too, i just didnt have the Giants taking him because they have so many DTs and so much money tied up in the defensive line.

www.fantasydaddy.com

by firstPick on Feb 19, 2010 12:35 PM EST up reply actions

money tied up is irrelevant. Bernard is gone, Robbins probably too.

They have Canty, Cofield and Alford for DT…and there’s questions about all a them.

I’m not 100% that ET is that good…I am sold that Nate Allen or Chad Jones are as good as advertised…

The big point is this.

ET + Spikes? That’s OK.

Brian Price + Allen/Jones? Much better I don’t see how ET, while he may be better..is that much better then Allen or Jones.

Price on the other hand is well worth it. And stockpiling defensive lineman is how the Giants won a SB…so I’m down with that.

by FreeBradshaw on Feb 19, 2010 1:02 PM EST up reply actions

i see your points

NFLN’s mick mayock said ET is almost as good as Eric Berry. The only difference is ET size.

HAHAHA!!!

After having OD, and drafting 2 te’s last year and having Dreesen…we have 4 te’s…Y NOT TAKE A 5th one and in the frist round!!! and a WR in 2nd? hahaha…terrible draft

Cowboys

I would personally rather see the Cowboys go after Chad Jones, Maurkice Pouncey, or Arrelious Benn instead of Jared Odrick.

If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.

by Cowboyfan729 on Feb 19, 2010 12:41 PM EST reply actions

I agree.

JPP is a project and doesn’t fit the need as much as Berry and McClain. I don’t mind the 2nd round picks though.

by JASiege on Feb 19, 2010 1:03 PM EST up reply actions

They wont pick him

He would play the predator OLB posistion. We need a SAM OLB. He probably doesnt know the difference.

by darwithabar on Feb 20, 2010 4:32 PM EST up reply actions

i know the difference

I didnt think you guys would haha

Like it but won't happen

Again, as I’ve said before, the Colts probably won’t go LB that early. If they do, I would be one of many Colts fans who would be thrilled with Spoon. I think he’s a top-10 talent.

I also like Asamoah, but to me he’s more of a 3rd round talent. He has very short arms, and we already have a G with very short arms in Charlie Johnson. I’d prefer a dude who’s actually built like an NFL lineman. Fox and Saffold both would have been slight reaches, but maybe not available by the Colts’ 3rd rounder so worth it at the end of the 2nd.

by LukeNukem on Feb 19, 2010 1:12 PM EST reply actions

I like Spoon

but not nearly as much as Price or Brown and not quite as much as Griffen.

In the 2nd I like Washington, Bowman and Arenas better.

by shake n bake on Feb 19, 2010 3:48 PM EST up reply actions

The Vikes won't take a TE as a third pick.

We probably would take Brian Price or Wetherspoon in your draft in the first. Come back with John Asomaoh in the 2nd and then taken the best CB available in the third. Most mocks don’t have Asamoah dropping to us in the 2nd. He would be extreme value there for us. But you did pick very good players for us.

Winning is not everything but it sure feels like it sometimes

by lifelongvike on Feb 19, 2010 1:57 PM EST reply actions

Love it for the Seahawks. Pretty much my ideal draft.

Although, I would take Arrelious Benn over Pouncey, but that’s because our WR corps are HORRIBLE. However, I flip on this every day or so.

lions are not drafting okung...

we dont need a LT.. he dosnt fit our systum… i really would like to know why people think he would be good fit here

by det32 on Feb 19, 2010 7:45 PM EST reply actions

you know…Ima laugh my ass off when the Lions draft Russel Okung #2 overall.

by FreeBradshaw on Feb 19, 2010 9:47 PM EST up reply actions

Why do you keep saying he doesnt fit your system?

Its just not true. He does fit your system. If fitting your system means you have to left th DE sack your QB 10 times then your probably right.

by darwithabar on Feb 20, 2010 4:35 PM EST up reply actions

Panthers will find a WR or DT before taking a S

deymarius thomas seems suspiciously high… especially with his injury, he could last well into 3rd, possibly even 4th

by vitzeng on Feb 19, 2010 9:00 PM EST reply actions

I think its going to be funny when the Ravens do not take Tate or Williams in the first round once the draft comes. 95% of the drafts I see are those 2 going to Baltimore. Variety please.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

No RB in the second. much rather have Allen.

I getting tired of saying this: Dick LeBeau’s system is so complex very few rookies can make an impact.

your crazy

There is no way the Chiefs will pass on both Berry and Cody you have to be crazy we can get a rush linebacker in later rounds

~Im a star n the making just ask about me im soon to be da Chiefs 1st round pick~

Giants

I agree with you in the giants pick
i agree that if Earl Thomas is available at 15 that they will take him.
I dont see how Price falls to the second round

by hotshot5568@aim.com on Feb 20, 2010 1:30 PM EST reply actions

Not sold on this from Pats perspective.

No way they’ll go for WR at first round. First two picks should be used on strengthening the trenches, both on offense and defense.

The 2010 New York Mets: Maybe it's the Phillies' turn to have 95% of its roster on the DL

The 2009 New England Patriots: At least we got our division title back

The 2009-10 New Jersey Devils: Allergic to second periods

Pats

Cam Thomas does not make sense. Ron Brace was drafted at NT in the 2nd round last year.

Where's the creativity?

I’ve seen these picks before. Even JPP going #5 was done by TRSS this week. This isn’t any more creative then any other mock on here.

McShay, Todd McShay you hear me boy? It's me TJ and I'm coming for your damn job boy! Oh be scared, be very scared McShay.

Hmmm...

As much as I’m not comfortable with the idea of a first round QB, I have to admit the possibility that they might present the best value for us at our pick. I’m not sure that Shipley would be a fit in Denver, as I envision Royal moving into the slot longterm.

Denver slot

You have Stokley as well. Love Royal, can’t figure out what happened with him last year.

by ct17 on Feb 20, 2010 11:51 PM EST up reply actions

yeah it didnt look like royal was fitting into the slot last season. So they may have a different vision for him, thats why i had shipley going to Denver. with good coaching, and the scheme, he could be wes welker. throw in stokely to learn from, and i dont think any denver fan would be upset with a young welker
