I don't really get it

He’s a pretty good player on a lousy team. Why wouldn’t he think he’s some kind of trade bait? Of course, it doesn’t really sound like a good trade. If that pick is a second rounder, I could see the Redskins being interested, but you still don’t give up a starting quarterback for a possibly starting safety. That would take away some of their flexibility in the draft, because they would now have to draft a QB with a high pick. When you have so many needs to fill, isn’t it nice to know that at least your most important position can be kept where it is? It’s not like they don’t have any starting quality safeties or anything.

He’s a pretty good player on a lousy team

Being a Bills fan I know two things about this statement:

1 – This team is lousy

2 – Pretty good Whitner is not. Compare his numbers to other safeties. Not. Even. Close. George Wilson a BACK UP ON THE SAME TEAM who was undrafted and played WR in college had better numbers last year then Whitner.

Hahaha I’m on the toilet reading this right now.

And he’s not really that good. He’s decent, but I think he’s overpaid so that makes him even more available if somebody wants him.

Whitner + pick > Campbell

I find this odd for the Bills if they did it…even if it is a 7th rounder. However, it would free the Redskins to take Claussen @ 4 since Bradford is seeming to go 1 AND give the Bills the option to take a franchise LT after theirs retired.

?

Man, I find it hard to take a safety and a pick over a QB who has never had a starting caliber offensive line or receivers. I know it depends on the pick, but seriously.

Whitner is junk. I don’t even like Campbell and I would make that trade.
