Mock Draft 3.0
1. St. Louis Rams - Sam Bradford - QB - Oklahoma
The top of the draft is designated for quarterbacks. Is that the way it should be? Maybe or maybe not, but that's just the way it is and the Rams take the QB that they rate highest on their board.
2. Detroit Lions - Ndamukong Suh - DT - Nebraska
The Lions have a franchise QB in Matt Stafford, so it's a BAP pick here and an easy one at that.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Gerald McCoy - DT - Oklahoma
The Bucs are fortunate that one of the two defensive tackles falls to them. McCoy fits perfectly into the Tampa 2 system and provides a central building block for a defense that needs a makeover.
4. Washington Redskins - Russell Okung - OT - Oklahoma State
The best tackle in the draft goes to a team that has a need at the position. In many years, Okung would be considered a top 2 pick, but he was unfortunate to be placed in a draft with the likes of Suh and McCoy.
5. Kansas City Chiefs - Rolando McClain - LB - Alabama
It was a toss up between McClain and Berry for the 5th spot and McClain gets the edge for being at a much more premium position.
6. Seattle Seahawks - Jimmy Clausen - QB - Notre Dame
Hasselbeck's days in Seattle are numbered if not over and there is no heir apparent on the roster. Clausen is a guy who can come in and take over day one in the rebuilding process with Carroll.
7. Cleveland Browns - Eric Berry - S - Tennessee
One of the best players in the draft, Berry only drops this far due to his position. The safety position isn't nearly the premium that OT, DT, LB and especially QB is.
8. Oakland Raiders - Bruce Campbell - OT - Maryland
The phenomenal combine performance of Bruce Campbell was worthless. Try telling that to Al Davis. They have a need at offensive tackle and Campbell is the perfect Al Davis kind of player.
9. Buffalo Bills - Bryan Bulaga - OT - Iowa
Since losing Jason Peters, the Bills have had a huge vacancy at the tackle position and desperately need a franchise tackle to hold the position for many years to come.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars - Joe Haden - CB - Florida
The pass rush needs help and a lot of it, but the value of Derrick Morgan doesn't match the pick. Haden's value does. The clear BAP at this pick will create a strong tandem for years to come with Derek Cox on the opposite side. The Jaguars will likely address their pass rush woes the same way the addressed their WR woes last year. 2 or 3 mid to late round picks that could contribute.
11. Denver Broncos - Dan Williams - DT - Tennessee
The Broncos don't have a nose tackle that they can say is the future of the franchise at the position and Williams can be that. Early word out of the combine is that a lot of teams love Williams and that will drive his stock up to this point.
12. Miami Dolphins - Dez Bryant - WR - Oklahoma State
Without a doubt, the best receiver in this year's draft and the Dolphins need a #1. Ted Ginn clearly isn't cutting it and although Devone Bess has been an asset for the offense, he's not the talent that Bryant would be.
13. San Francisco 49ers - C.J. Spiller - RB - Clemson
The 49ers could use a new threat for their offense and Spiller provides that. Two back systems have proven to be more effective and Spiller-Gore would be a dynamic threat.
14. Seattle Seahawks - Charles Brown - OT - USC
Word from the combine is that Brown is impressing scouts and he looks like he'll go early in the draft. The Seahawks have a need at tackle and with Carroll in Seattle, Brown fits perfectly.
15. New York Giants - Brian Price - DT - UCLA
I firmly believe that the Giants get a steal in Brian Price if they draft him at 15. Had Joe Haden not been on the board at 10, Price would've been my pick for Jacksonville. What separates him from Suh and McCoy is very slim.
16. Tennessee Titans - Earl Thomas - S - Texas
The Titans have a need at cornerback and Thomas is athletic enough to move to CB and fill that need. He's a pretty good value at 16.
17. San Francisco 49ers - Trent Williams - OT - Oklahoma
The 49ers have Tony Pashos at the RT spot, but he's clearly not the man for the future at the position. Trent Williams can take over at RT and hold the spot for the next decade or so.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers - Brandon Graham - DE - Michigan
Graham has the athleticism and the perfect size to move to OLB in a 3-4 system. The Steelers have traditionally been BAP drafters and Graham is the BAP for a 3-4 team at this pick.
19. Atlanta Falcons - Derrick Morgan - DE - Georgia Tech
The Falcons need some help with their pass rush and they are very fortunate to have the best 4-3 rusher in this year's draft fall all the way to 19.
20. Houston Texans - Sean Weatherspoon - LB - Missouri
The Texans have said that they want to address the CB position in the draft, but aside from Joe Haden no CB is worth the value of the 20th pick. Perrish Cox has the talent to thrive in the Texans system, but his character flaws are probably too much for Houston to ignore.
21. Cincinnati Bengals - Jermaine Gresham - TE - Oklahoma
The Bengals have a need at TE and Gresham is the best one in this year's draft. He can stretch the field for the Bengals and provide a much needed downfield threat for Carson Palmer.
22. New England Patriots - Sergio Kindle - OLB - Texas
Adalius Thomas is no longer a Patriot and they need a young OLB to take over that spot. Kindle can come in and make an instant impact in the Patriots defense.
23. Green Bay Packers - Donovan Warren - CB - Michigan
The Packers definitely have a need at CB and Warren fills the need. He may have gone a little earlier than he should have, but if it is a reach, it's minimal.
24. Philadelphia Eagles - Mike Iupati - G - Idaho
The best guard in the draft will not slip out of the first round. He'll fit in perfectly to an Eagle offense that is excited to bolster their offensive line.
25. Baltimore Ravens - Jason Pierre-Paul - DE - USF
His raw talent causes him to drop because he's just too inexperienced at the position. He has the size to be a 3-4 end and can be taught the position.
26. Arizona Cardinals - Jerry Hughes - OLB - TCU
The Cardinals need help at the linebacker position and Jerry Hughes fits into their system nicely.
27. Dallas Cowboys - Anthony Davis - OT - Rutgers
If anyone fits perfects into the mold of a Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman, it's Davis. He's a mammoth tackle that will be able to take over at RT and maybe take over for Flozell Adams at LT in the future. If the Cowboys choose to, they could even put him in at G and address their interior line needs.
28. San Diego Chargers - Jonathan Dwyer - RB - Georgia Tech
The Chargers get their choice between Ryan Mathews and Dwyer and decide that Dwyer is their guy. The RB position is one that will obviously be addressed by the Chargers and the first round of the Draft is the best way to do it.
29. New York Jets - Ryan Mathews - RB - Fresno State
With Thomas Jones gone the Jets will probably want to bring in another RB to bring back the two back system with Mathews as the back to compliment Greene.
30. Minnesota Vikings - Perrish Cox - CB - Oklahoma State
The Vikings have a need at CB and although Cox has character issues, his talent can't be ignored forever.
31. Indianapolis Colts - Jared Odrick - DT - Penn State
The Colts defense has always been strong and had speed all throughout, but the weakness has traditionally been in the middle of the defensive line. The defensive tackle position is one that needs to be addressed and Odrick presents great value at 31.
32. New Orleans Saints - Navorro Bowman - LB - Penn State
Defense has to be the priority for the Saints as basically all of their Super Bowl winning offense returns. Bowman would fit perfectly into their system and is the best available defensive pick at this spot.

I actually thing Iupati is the BPA since
Graham will be a backup for atleast two-three years while Iupati should contribute in his second year.
I getting tired of saying this: Dick LeBeau’s system is so complex very few rookies can make an impact.
1st read my sig
2nd Graham will be a 3-4 OLB not a DE. 3rd we have two probowl OLB already, so Graham will struggle to get on the field. Plus is he willing to play special teams?

The only ones I personally disagree with is St. Louis and Detroit
Underclassmen 1st round QBs fail more often than not. I’d have St. Louis playing it safe with Suh while Detroit protects Bradford with Okung. Bradford then goes to Washington.
STL can't afford to play it safe
They played it safe when they draft Long, they took it easy when they drafted Adam Carriker. Look where they are now.

They can't afford to whiff on an underclassman 1st round QB
Outside of Big Ben and Drew Bledsoe, they tend to come out as busts.
Stafford and Sanchez were juniors
The rams have a running game a deep threat and a new LT. It’s time for a new QB

JPP
Weighed in at 270 lbs. Would make him one of the smallest, if not the smallest, 3-4 DE in the NFL. And if you look at a picture of him, he does not have much bulk. Baltimore likes big guys. Jarrett Johnson is a massive OLB, he would play DLE on a 4-3 team.
Otherwise some good picks.
Uhh, yeah
They’d move him to OLB
Ignore the hype; look at the results.
And Jarret Johnson is 265 lbs
JPP is actually a little bigger, and has room to grow
Ignore the hype; look at the results.
I'm cool with Haden!

I''d be more than happy with Bryant

2010 The Jim Mandich NewsFlash Award Winner.
Nice
One of the best mocks I’ve seen – if not the best. I could easily see it playing out as you have here – very easily. I king of hope it does – Haden would be a God-send for the Jags. Not sold on Derrick Morgan though, are you?

Colts
I’d take Everson Griffen over Odrick, better value imo and he duplicates a 30+ year old going into a contract year instead of a 2nd year 2nd round pick.
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.
Seahawk approved.
I have to agree, this is one of the better mocks that i have seen. Not sure about the A Davis drop though
Yep, Hawks fans love it.
Dream Draft: Clausen, Brown (#24), Houston, McKnight, Mike Williams, Black, McManis, DTN.
CBs
Kyle Wilson is the second best corner in this draft and though Warren could pass him by I don’t see Cox passing him. I could see Dominique Franks and Devan McCourty being first rounders well before Cox.
haha your hilarious no way he is the second best he is closer to the 9th best

Giants
I see the Giants giving all the injured DL another year to prove themselves.
I see taking a safety at 15 a reach for the Giants as well as the LB’s other than McClain.
With so many good OT prospects available I can see the Giants using this year to get one to replace McKenzie.
Otherwise D Morgan as a future replacement for Osi.

Gearing up to hear Bruce Campbell
as the Raiders pick on pretty much every post-combine mock.
No more raining on Bruins Nation's rainy parade, they took their ball and went home.
Although the Raiders need an OT in the worst way
I’m worried this guy might be the O-line equivelant of Dead-Hands Bay (also from Maryland).
Save us Brian Price!
No more raining on Bruins Nation's rainy parade, they took their ball and went home.
Vikings will go BPA. Who is left?
Maurike Pouncy, Jared Odrick, Everson Griffen, Ryan Mathews, Taylor Mays.
How about the 2nd best WR in the draft?
With this special talent on the board I don’t see the Vikes drafting need with the #30. Unless you have Cox rated very, very high on your board.
Overall I thought it was a good mock.
Winning is not everything but it sure feels like it sometimes
Horrible
How is ILB a more premiun posistion than S? It’s not. There is no way the Chiefs pass on Berry to take McClain. Most scouts see McClain as a 10-15 talent and Berry is considered a top 3 talent. Safety is a much bigger need for the Chiefs as well. Derrick Johnson, Corey Mays, and Demorio Williams are alot better than Mike Brown and John McGraw. There is no way the chiefs would pass on him to for an ILB. Brandon Graham or Bruce Cambell would probably be the pick before McClain. McClain killed his stock by not running as well and he was already considered a mid round talent by most. Fans need to watch some tape before they hype this kid up.
Watching that tape
McClain seemed to wait for the action to come to him. He also didn’t have to fight through blockers to get to the ball carrier. And in part two he was easily knocked over by WR 2-4 yards away! He also seemed to run slowly to the ball. And when the ballcarrier was past him he slowed down. Not likein one bit

Compared to one they did on Spikes
McClain looks down right lazy!
