I think this helps his draft status
It shows how much family means to him.

gives a new meaning to the saying “It’s like kissing your sister”
"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Conway Twitty."
After reading the entire article I'm still debating.
Talent or past digressions. He will definitely be a media circus for a few weeks. Not good for any team in that regard. Very Athletic but has not played against tough competition.
I think since his only talent is combine athletic ability I would pass. To big a locker room issue for my team.
Winning is not everything but it sure feels like it sometimes
Yeah...
It’s sad, though. The guy has the talent, and if he hadn’t made a few bad decisions, might have gotten into a better college/University and maybe would be a great prospect. Incest between brothers and sisters is actually a lot more common than most people realize, especially between teens (though it usually doesn’t translate into a full… relationship?). I don’t understand why he has to register as a sex offender, personally, but ehe.
I do agree that it would raise a lot of locker room issues, but I don’t know if I agree with the hate he is getting for it. We don’t think twice about the fact that a large portion of these guys have likely done hard drugs, and many have been involved in other criminal activities. shrugs
I think the article does a very good job.

Imagine
the hazing he would get as a rookie.

I mean the guy was 16 and had sex with a 15 year old. If they were both 18 he wouldnt be a sex offender. The part about it being his sister, Im going to pretend I dont remember.
They tried to charge me for a sex offense for taking a piss outside a bar. The cop tried to say he could see my wang from across the street; I figured either the pig lied or I should be in porn.
The judge agreed and it was dismissed.
This has happened to people before, having to register as a sex offender for public urination. You’re lucky as HELL

Yeah I almost pooped my pants when they said they were going to charge me with a “sex crime”.
I was younger and thought it was funny delaying my public urination case for years by firing my attorney and changeling the legality of the city statute. The prosecutor was so upset, that they figured they would up the stakes.
Thank God the judge threw it out, I actually think he was being entertained; listening to me quote the constitution and continually firing my attorney.
Well, I'll take him
Without hesitation. That’s how bad I want the Colts to draft good linemen. Let him slip to the 7th. At least he didn’t kill a guy at a Super Bowl party, fund a million dollar dog-fighting ring, get drunk and drive over someone, have his baby’s mother shot, facilitate a drug deal with his cell phone or anything like that. At the risk of making people from my state seem tolerant of incest, I say f*** it, who cares?

I agree.
Yes..its pretty f’d on what he did.
But I kinda think its equally, or more f**kd, that he’s gotta register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. What he did is NOT what I think of when I hear that someone’s a sex offender.

I agree. What he did was completely freaky and sick, but when I think of a sex offender I think of someone takes advantage of someone who’s powerless due to age or lack of control.

Environment
If any environment is what he needs, it is the disciplined environment instilled in Indianapolis by Tony Dungy and carried on by Jim Caldwell.

I'm not sure, but I believe incest is a lot more common than most people think,
mostly because it’s not something anyone wants to talk about. I don’t know whether this should be a huge red flag, considering the fact that it happened eight years ago, and as a 16 year old, perhaps he had a really rough childhood. Too many variables. I’d personally be more worried if it was a repetitive thing, or if he had an attitude problem or was considered to be uncoachable.
I’ve never known why some things are worthy of a life-long stigma as “SEXUAL PREDATOR”.
Seriously, I think teenage incest is as ewww’worthy as anyone, but worthy of being called a predator and being feared by neighborhood watch people fro the rest of your life?

I read this article yesterday
and when I saw your title I knew exactly what you were talking about
2009 BTB Fantasy Champ... Deal with it
Its just wrong to even think about someone considering to do what he did
He may go 3rd day to some team because of it. I hope someone in the NFL gives him a chance to prove that he’ll never do something of this magnitude again. He’s the model on picking or not picking someone becuase of personality/character issues, or off the field incidents.

It is just really really really gross. I think I’m going to puke now.
2009 BTB Fantasy Champ... Deal with it
I don't know if this makes him a bad person
Based on the fact that we simply don’t know enough about his situation at the time.
But I seriously worry about the reception he’d get in the locker room. I’d be interested to find out how his teammates in college treated him.
I believe he went to a Christian School...
The coaches all spoke highly of him. Not sure about the other players

The cowards here are the anonymous scouts.
Was what this kid did disgusting? Absolutely. But this is a society of second chances. If you are going to try to railroad the guys career, put you’re fucking name on it.
"Relax, all right? Don't try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring; besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls. It's more democratic."

Are you the anonymous scout
who anonymously said that this guy shouldn’t be in the NFL or whatever else they said, anonymously? If not, then no, not at all.
They didn’t want to paint their team in a negative light because of their ignorant comments.
That’s what I’m saying. If you aren’t man enough to throw the guy under the bus with your name attached, then don’t do it.

What nrmaz88 said, Dan.
I respect you, Dan, and most people who say they don’t like what this kid. But I agree with nrmax88 that a scout saying stuff like they said is… well, cowardly. At least put your name to it (which you did).

Very good thread here guys.
Yeah, this is a very emotional topic. A lot of us are fathers and all of us are human beings so their is the initial negative reaction.
But I will emphatically go along with the group that believes in second chances. There are many other worse cases in the NFL and professional sports [not to mention business and government] of criminals, wife beaters, adulterers, addicts etc. who get second, third and fourth chances in life for incidents that occured when they were in their twenties, thirties, forties, or older. This kid was sixteen and some would want to brand him for life and ensure he could not become any kind of positive force in society because of this.
I would not have a problem if my team, the Lions, chose this guy.
Disclaimer: I am not of this opinion with Micheal Vick.

Interviews will be crucial.
Any decent ownership group is going to really scrutinize him before they draft him.
However if he starts to drop, his physical ability may cause someone to take the gamble in spite of the issues he carries. who knows, here’s hoping he has turned a corner and that is all behind him.
The guys life must suck
So at least allow him to try and make some money in NFL and than hide on island somewhere.
As other people have alluded, he won’t survive the locker room unless he is a very, very, mentally tough kid.
Honestly, I wouldn’t want him on my team. Reporters are ruthless enough, the distraction could be potentially huge.
They are who we thought they were!
