I would rather have Graham then Dunlap, but I like the Warren pick in the 2nd round.

by The Legend on Mar 12, 2010 12:56 AM EST reply actions

Ok Im going to critique myself here:

I Think based off of what I see when I mocked If all our options at OT are unavailable we would have been best served to have gone either CB Devin McCourty or have gone TE Jermaine Gresham.

And then in the second round we could go DE/DT with who is available because I think all of the OT options left are a little bit of a reach Jason Fox, Vladimir Ducasse, and Jerod Valdheer.

That’s a pretty heavy run on OT, but that is always a possibility.

Charles Brown is a big reach at 14

Seattle would probably wait until 40 to draft an OT if thats what they have to choose from at 14

Get well Greg! Rip City is still behind you!

Chargers

I think the 1st pick is solid considering the board; but in the bottom of the 2nd Id rather have Brandon Ghee than Kareem Jackson.

by AirNorval on Mar 12, 2010 2:40 AM EST reply actions

OO

I didnt notice Robinson dropped all the way to the end of the 2nd, I like him much better there than Ghee and Jackson

by AirNorval on Mar 12, 2010 2:49 AM EST up reply actions

Jackson is a better man corner than either of them.

Jackson is an elite CB. He shut down the best the SEC had to offer and Texas as well.

by Flounder69 on Mar 12, 2010 11:35 AM EST up reply actions

You may be right

He is rated higher on alot of peoples boards. Robinson seems like a safer pick to me. There’s going to be some great DBs found on the 2nd day this year.

by AirNorval on Mar 12, 2010 4:43 PM EST up reply actions

Ghee over Jackson?????

McClain

McClain’s pro day dropped him from 10 to 15? I’m not so sure the Jags wouldn’t still pick him, but ehe. I’m starting to really not like the 10th pick.

by alwaysforgiven821 on Mar 12, 2010 3:11 AM EST reply actions

His pro day should not have dropped him at all.

He ran a high 4.6 which is what he was projected to run and did very well in the position drills. The only issue with him is the Krohns disease and that is truly not a factor. He has been playing with it for almost 8 years and has never missed a game or practice because of it. He is still the best LB in this draft and any team, especially a 3-4 team that passes on him will regret it. That means you KC and Cleveland. I also really hope he does not end up in the NFC East because I do not want to face him twice a year.

Patriots

Kindle and Saffold are good picks. Benn isn’t too bad of a pick, should Gilyard go before the Pats make the first of their three second round picks. Carrington, I don’t know too well. He looks to be a good fit, but I can’t put my finger around him yet.

The 2010 New York Mets: Maybe it's the Phillies' turn to have 95% of its roster on the DL

The 2009 New England Patriots: At least we got our division title back

The 2009-10 New Jersey Devils: Allergic to second periods

I pray that never happens.

He was my favorite player at Bama. I do not want to root against him.

by Flounder69 on Mar 12, 2010 11:31 AM EST up reply actions

Really like the Chiefs draft well done sir

Fills 3 of our big needs. I don’t think Berry will be the pick but it is the pick that most Chiefs fans want (AKA Aaron Curry last year) i think we reach for Dan Williams or select Berry. If there is a Tyson Jackson pick in this draft it will be Dan Williams to the Chiefs…

The first 3 picks of the draft will be defense. Pioli loves him some defense.

by ChiefsfanJon on Mar 12, 2010 10:39 AM EST reply actions

Good Picks...all 3!

These picks would work great. I think Walton could be had with our 3rd Round pick, which would leave 2b open for a good OLB or ILB. But if this is the way it comes out then I would be very happy with our first three picks.

I sure hope they don’t reach on Dan Williams. If we can get Cody with our 2a pick, then that would be money well spent versus Williams with #5.

by JASiege on Mar 12, 2010 10:57 AM EST up reply actions

love those three guys as well

I agree that you could wait on Walton… but I could stop watching the draft after those 3 picks and be happy

* KC now has the best coaching staff in the league
* 9-7 is a real possibility in 2010 IF the Chiefs get 4 new starters
* keep Albert at LT, upgrade the positions that NEED upgrading.C, RG, NT, S, LB

by stagdsp on Mar 14, 2010 6:47 PM EDT up reply actions

Pouncey is solid at 27, but I would rather draft a S like Burnett at 59

It is hard for me to draft a WR in the 2nd round with limited tape and a broken foot. Thomas is a pure risk reward guy. He has never run a route tree and is coming off a foot injury. Foot injuries and WRs are not a good mix. There is a very large chance he is a complete bust. Even more so than normal for a WR.

Raiders get a blue chip tackle and a run stuffing nose tackle?

I’m down with that. Send this to Al Davis, please.

horrible draft

1st – lions not gonna get okung over suh
2nd – jags got kampman they not gonna get ANOTHER de
3rd – Denver got jamaal williams they not gonna get dan williams with bryant on the board
4th – dolphins have 2 starting corners already will bryant on the board they will not take another one
5th – brown at 14 is a reach
6th – baltimore would not taken ANOTHER wr and bryant won’t get past 11/12
7th – lions would not take another wr they have burlenson and johnson
8th – baltimore would not take another OLB with one taken in the 2nd last year and suggs still
9th – eagles do not take a CB with a need for LB with bowman still on the board and with S burnett on the board for their hole at safety
10 – why would the jets taken another CB with two starters already
there are 10 reasons why ur mock is a piece of crap

by HawaiiEaglesFanatic on Mar 12, 2010 3:02 PM EST reply actions

You are absolutely wrong about your 2nd reason. They will draft at least one defensive end in the draft, probably more than that. That said I don’t really like JPP because he’s way too green and will require way too much development.

You know what it would be one thing to disagree and tell me what you think but your just a asshole about it. Also I know you don't know al these teams so why don't you stick with who you know if anyone.

And yes you do need a CB. You signed a CB who they say they want to play saftey so most likely you will not be drafting that position.

Spoken like a true Eagles fan.

I agree with a lot of your points, but you could do it without being offensive. Change #2 to not taking a DE in the 1rst and I would agree. Change 6 to in the 1rst and 2nd and I would agree. Of course Ozzie is a best player available type of GM. Please bet the house on Marlin Jackson! Jets would draft a CB for depth and because possibly BPA. I seriously doubt Jets go CB when they really need a S.

by Flounder69 on Mar 12, 2010 6:27 PM EST up reply actions

I debated a S when doing it but wasn't positive.

I am always open to suggestions but It matters how you go about saying it. Yelling at me and such and just saying it is crap you are not going to get your way you know

Your Texans 2nd round pick is way off

Brandon Ghee or Donovan Warren or Patrick Robinson.

Gerhart doesn’t fit the ZBS as much as Hardesty in the 3rd round does.

by TexansDC on Mar 15, 2010 7:11 PM EDT reply actions

interesting.

So, when he had a pulse, Peyton Hillis could fit this magical “ZBS”, but Toby Gerhart won’t?
