Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Final rankings update finished

The final rankings update has been made for the 2010 NFL Draft. Even though pro days are ongoing, what happens at them won't change my mind much at all. These changes are based somewhat on what happened during all-star games and the combine. Judging players based on games has also continued thanks to the magic of DVR and ESPN360.

If you've been reading the site for a while, you won't notice a lot of major changes. Below you'll find my top 10. Click here for the entire top 150. At the end are links to the positional rankings.

1. Ndamukong Suh | DT | 6'4, 305 pounds | Nebraska
2. Eric Berry | S | 5'11, 203 pounds | Tennessee

Interesting

Iupati over Pouncey? Both are great, but right now I think Pouncey has the edge because he has played against better competition and many have deemed he can start at all 3 interior OL positions next year. Iupati might have more upside, but the WAC is known for having bad bad D’s, and the SEC is known as having as close to NFL D’s as you can get. I know Iupati could be an OT, which may help his draft status, but I think if he could play that position Idaho would have done so. And I really cant see him blocking edge rushers, and see his specialty in pulling and trapping.

Other than that I agree, especially with Gerald McCoy, I’m tired of hearing people say he is better than Suh, he aint. I think McCoy is good, but he has to go to the right team, which is one who will use him as a penetrator and not a guy to take on blocks.

Taylor Mays at 43, I haven’t been a fan of his, but I think he’s better than that. He has pretty high potential and sick athleticism.

Sean Canfield #6 thats suprising considering how bad his combine and Senior Bowl was.

OH

And is there an easy way you could add up all the teams say top 3 needs and post that info. And maybe add up all the positions for your top 150, so its easy to see what positions are most reflected in the top of the draft compared to what teams need.

If its not something that you could do quickly via a spread sheet, leeme know and I’ll do.

Thanks for all the hard work btw.
