1st 2 rounds are meh...

Price is the consensus choice…not a likely choice tho. Spikes is slower then molasses, but I guess he’s tough and related to Takeo…wow.

I like Arenas, if Aaron Ross is healthy and becomes more of a safety, Arenas could be a real weapon as a nickel corner and KR/PR

Hate the Riley Cooper pick to the letter. He may be a good player, he’d never play a down for the Giants. Waste of pick, don’t need another WR (already have 5…)

Schofield is another good pick to take a flier on, if he’s healthy..like his other former Badger teammate Travis Beckum (another reason the Giants don’t need another WR…) he’s got a ton of talent.

If you changed the Riley Cooper pick to one that makes some sense (safety, OL) this is a nice Giants mock.

Otherwise with Cooper…it stinks.

maybe Jermaine Cunningham in the 4th

Kyle Calloway in the 5th, then boom.

I realy do think

Cooper is very underrated
he lit it up at the combine and
senior bowl

by Jagz on Mar 15, 2010 10:21 AM EDT up reply actions

this is true , he's a good player

but for the Giants, its a mailed in pick and a waste.

He’s not playing over Smith, Nicks, Manningham, Barden or Hixon

by FreeBradshaw on Mar 15, 2010 10:23 AM EDT up reply actions

yea

its just the giants don’t have many needs so i couldn’t think
of who to pick with that pick

by Jagz on Mar 15, 2010 10:24 AM EDT up reply actions

yup

signing Rolle basically takes the need away from 2 safeties to one.

I still like Earl Thomas in the first, cuz if Kenny Phillips is 100% and raring to go, ET can still be a nickel corner, which in the NFC East with the Pokes, Eggs and potentiall Foreskins getting better, having a secondary like that is a good thing.

Especially with Perry Fewell’s track record with DB’s.

Do you want price or Dan williams?

by matth313 on Mar 15, 2010 12:12 PM EDT up reply actions

If I chose between the 2, Dan Williams

but I’d rather choose neither and go with someone like Lamarr Houston in the 2nd or Linval Joseph in the 3/4.

I’d rather get a player in the 1st who will have a better chance at starting. With 3 or 4 DT’s on the roster likely to get playing time…I doubt a 5th, a 1st round pick…will.

Colts

I would have taken either Devin McCourty or Everson Griffen over Jared Odrick. Both of them are greater value and fits.

Also not sure I would go with who you have in the 5th but overall a good mock.

Colts

All the picks are totally fine for needs and scheme fit, but not exactly what I’d personally want.

1. Devin McCourty
2. Daryl Washington
3. Jason Worilds
4. Kyle Calloway
5. Geno Atkins

Pretty much the same positions, just re-ordered for prospects I like better

Not diggin' most of the Raiders picks

Bruce Campbell is obviously the favorite at #8, but after that…meh. If the Raiders are taking a linebacker, it’ll be an MLB with Kirk Morrison currently available for cheap. They just traded for a DE/OLB hybrid in Wimbley anyway.

Tebow? Not a chance. Not saying Davis won’t admire his athleticism, but he’s determined to try and salvage JaMarcus Russell and has retained Gradkowski.

Jacboy Ford? Maybe. The Raiders are pretty set at their top 3 WR positions, and Johnnie Lee Higgins appears to be a Davis scholarship player at the 4th slot. Still, our return game is just hideous and Ford could help there. Wouldn’t be adverse to it.

Ben Tate is a big maybe to doubtful. True, they did just cut Justin Fargas, but I also wonder if they’ve just decided to go with a two back system instead of 3. I like Tate a lot and I wouldn’t complain if he does come on board, but I don’t see it.

Not a chance on Kurt Coleman. Davis already has 4 safeties he likes.

One thing you missed: help on the defensive interior. There’s no way a defensive tackle doesn’t get drafted by Oakland. I’d say Linval Joseph or Jeff Owens are the most likely.

much about them
but i’ll take in consideration everything u said

Don't worry not thinking is the way to go with the Raiders.

Your doing what Al Davis would do so thats good. :)

Help on the offensive and defense lines is the most important

Don’t think Running back or safety warrent a pick in the top 5 rounds for the Raiders. QB is a maybe though, since it would hopefully quicken the process of sending JaMarcus away ASAP.

Very interesting draft. Good jobs on the Viking needs.

I thought your first round was very plausible. Food for thought.

I have to trust your player evaluation for the players you selected the Vikings should have. If it was me I would simply take every player you gave Indy in rounds 2-5
That would give the vikes1) Dam Williams DT 2) Ducasse G 3) Spievy CB 4) Selvie DE and 5) Watson OLB This covers every need of the Vikes in their weakest depth areas. I realize you were trying to fill that ILB spot.

Overall, nice job.

Winning is not everything but it sure feels like it sometimes

Jonathan Dwyer will not be a Houston Texan.

He doesn’t fit the scheme.

Think Montario Hardesty or Ben Tate.

by TexansDC on Mar 15, 2010 12:32 PM EDT reply actions

Yall need a RB

and to complement slaton
Dwyer would be an excellent bruiser for short yardage

by Jagz on Mar 15, 2010 3:44 PM EDT up reply actions

I won’t argue that the team could use a RB, but that doesn’t mean Dwyer due to the zone blocking scheme. Hardesty is also much more talented than Dwyer in general.

Bengals

hate the Gresham pick, dont understand the Angerer pick

The angerer pick

is BAP and Jones is getting up their in age
I know a lot about the Bengals cause one of my best friends is a die hard Bengals fan
and I can see that the Bengals really don’t have many needs
probly Saftey is their biggest need
and they don’t have a legit TE so I got them taking the best TE in the draft

by Jagz on Mar 15, 2010 3:42 PM EDT up reply actions

i understand why people keep picking Gresham, but the Bengals dont hold the TE in high regard. So he wouldnt be BPA at that point. and that shwat they plan on doing. and Rey Maualuga would be out future MLB. but if angerer is BPA then they could take him

www.fantasydaddy.com

by firstPick on Mar 15, 2010 3:46 PM EDT up reply actions

yea but

yall are runnin the ball way more than previous years
and Gresham is a very solid run blocker and he can create seperation from DBs

by Jagz on Mar 15, 2010 3:49 PM EDT up reply actions

very solid run blocker?

I dont think so my man. Sure he has good size and tries to block. He could one day turn into an effective blocker. But no TE that comes from the spread offense is a “very solid blocker”. and we run the ball so much because we didnt have another WR to take heat off of Chad. The most catches any TE has ever had in our offense in 31 since 2002. and out coordinator had a TE catch 37 balls in his whole NFL career. we need blocking TEs, not Gresham. Watch us take Anthony McCoy

This is an amazing draft for the Ravens.

Love Wilson and Williams in the first two rounds. And Dickerson is one of my big time sleepers who I think will eventually move to WR because he is only about 225 pounds. Great picks.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

by Mr MaLoR on Mar 15, 2010 3:24 PM EDT reply actions

Hate this draft for the chiefs.

No NT no LB. I guess you want us to be the 31st rushing defense again. Also i believe the Chiefs are happy with our OT considering we haven’t talked to any tackle free agents but we have brought in multiple guards and centers.

The first 3 picks of the draft will be defense. Pioli loves him some defense.

by ChiefsfanJon on Mar 15, 2010 5:22 PM EDT reply actions

In this draft, I’d imagine Chiefs fans would be thrilled with….Berry, Cody, and Hughes in the 1st 2 rounds (could happen in this mock). Then Jon Asomoah in round 3 to help the interior OL.

It's possible

but I think you’d have to flip Hughes and Cody (with Thomas as a back-up plan)….maybe Eric Decker as the back-up plan to Shipley, but I actually see it all as possible.

player values

You definitely have players in different rounds than many of the rest of us. Briscoe in the high 2nd. Mike Williams is a big risk there as well. Capers is a huge project for the 2nd, as is Wootton, whose knee appears to be shot. Ulatoski is not going a full round before Calloway.

With the Jets you did good. With the Giants, like the others I think WR unlikely unless they return kicks – which Arenas covers. Not sure what Schofield would play – as a small 3-4 OLB pass rusher he would find it hard to find a spot in a 4-3.

Fucking Mike Mayock

Ok, Everyone watched the combine and heard him say that and now they mock Bulaga to the Chiefs. Seriously, you honestly think Scott Pioli will take a player that isnt as good as a different one on the board and at a posistion that he already has a good player for just because Kirk Ferentz coached him (Not directed only at you, thats what Mayock said and not one mock had the Chiefs taking him until that). Seriously, I just dont see it. I think Bruce Cambell not only fits their scheme better but he is a way better player.
