Lions looking into top players Okung, McCoy
In the chance that Ndamukong Suh is taken first overall, Detroit is smartly preparing itself. The team brought in Oklahoma State offensive tackle Russell Okung for a visit on Monday.
During the combine, Detroit hosted Okung for dinner. This could all be anecdotal, or a smokescreen, but it's certainly worth noting that Detroit has been forthcoming about its interest in Okung.
Regarded as the consensus top offensive tackle in the draft, Okung impressed general manager Martin Mayhew.
"He's a very sharp guy, very intelligent," Mayhew told the Detroit News.
