Is Dez Bryant outstanding or aloof?
In theory, every draft pick is a risk. But whatever team drafts Oklahoma State's Dez Bryant may be taking a greater one.
Bryant's production in 2008 – 87 receptions for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns – speaks for itself. As a first-team All-American, he was a sensation.
But Bryant only played in five games in 2009 before being suspended for not disclosing details of a meeting with Deion Sanders.
While that's not a big deal, there are some red flags on Bryant that are coming up. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports brought several to light in a story published Sunday.
Cole's story emphasized a perceived aloofness from Bryant.
"I wouldn’t draft that kid unless I had someone to wake him up in the morning to get to meetings, someone to wake him up for practice and someone to wake him up for games," one source said.
"The stories about him around combine should frighten teams," Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel tweeted.
Now the question becomes which teams could become frightened by Bryant's purported issues.

This is almos a non story, and here is why...
He is the only real 1st round talent at WR. The only thing this does is lead a team that kinda needs a WR to pass him down a couple of spots.
If he makes it to them, the Bengals will not pass him up. And he certainly won’t drop past the Ravens!
If he’s not pushing drugs and shanking people, he will go in the first round!
Bob Sanders is starting to make me rethink my SBNation ID!

Why are people constantly surprised that
kids who are 20 year old athletic sensations since the time they are young are arrogant and aloof? Who gives a shit the guy can ball.
"Relax, all right? Don't try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring; besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls. It's more democratic."

The reason he got suspended seemed pretty bogus too. I remember reading about it, it seemed like all he did was go over to Deion Sanders’ house and hang out with him, but did not report it to the NCAA or something? There was some sort of category of people I guess Deion falls under that if an NCAA athlete spends time with them it needs to be reported. I can’t imagine anyone thinking that it was that important, and I know I probably wouldn’t have thought to report it. The NCAA was just being overly strict, and if that was his only character issue I can’t imagine teams caring that much
I'd still take him
