Interesting thoughts from scout Daniel Jeremiah
If there's one good reason to be on Twitter, it's to follow Daniel Jeremiah. He was a scout for Baltimore and Cleveland and now dispenses his knowledge on Twitter and MoveTheSticks.com.
Here are some talking points he's provided today:
Trent Williams stock has been rising since the season ended... I think he will land with Buffalo at #9
I asked Jeremiah how this could happen. He said it was based on good interviews, a good combine and his junior tape.
His tweets are especially enjoyable when he opens the door to a front office. Observe:
Most draft boards are pretty well set by 1st week of April and then the misinformation starts flying everywhere.
So to me, this says something about what Browns president Mike Holmgren had to say about not liking Jimmy Clausen. Maybe he's not giving a line of nonsense when he said "He'll go high. But it would be hard for me [to take him]."
A few others:
The Ravens signed Redding but they still need to add some youth to their DL... look for them to do that in this draft
I've seen some reports that DET is taking an OT at #2... I would be SHOCKED if that took place. They will take on of those DT's

I know he knows what he's talking about...
…I just can’t take him seriously when he has Clausen dropping out of the 1st. Sure, the Browns “don’t” want him, and the Seahawks appear to have made moves that signal they’re not going QB in the 1st. But Clausen out of the 1st? I understand not having Taylor Mays or Bruce Campbell, but Clausen? Oh, and Iupati not in the first too? Hmm…
This may sound weird
But I couldn’t imagine the Colts not taking Clausen if he’s available. Obviously there are bigger needs, but Polian wouldn’t pass on that kind of talent. He hopefully wouldn’t get to play for a few years, but it would be nice to have a solid backup in case the unspeakable happens. That and it would put a lot of people’s minds at ease to know there’s a successor lined up behind Peyton.
Manning isnt going anywhere for a long time.
