NFL announces compensatory picks
The biggest winner in this year's compensatory picks is Cincinnati, which received a pick in the third and fourth round.
Tennessee and Atlanta will also receive third-round picks. The picks take place at the end of each round. The NFL handed out 32 picks to 19 teams. Find all of the picks after the jump.
Compensatory picks are based on free agents lost the previous season. The Falcons, for instance, got picks in the third and fifth rounds for losing free agents Michael Boley and Dominique Foxworth.

Pretty nice...
…especially since we usually turn the late round players into valuable contributors.

Alright! AWESOME SAUCE!!!
The Bucs get a 7th Round Compensatory!!! WOO-HOO!
…why are you looking at me like that?
The Bucs already have like 3 draft picks in the 7th. Since they can’t trade the compensatory, they can use the others in that round to trade up in the later rounds, say 5th or 6th to target any particular player on the board, and still have a pick in the 7th for cleanup. This kind of flexibility is a good thing…
Relive the shocking NOOOOOOOO of April 25 2009 at Witty's Draft Review and laugh laugh laugh...
the Bengals get a 3rd and 4th
that’s what.

Agh, I'm done making mock drafts until the day before the draft
Every time I make one, later that same day some major announcement is made
"'Tis a bird I love, with its brooding note, And the trembling throb in its mottled throat; There's a human look in its swelling breast, And the gentle curve of its lowly crest; And I often stop with the fear I feel-- He runs so close to the rapid wheel." Nathaniel Parker Willis, "The Belfrey Pigeon"
