Dad thinks Tim Tebow will be picked early
"If the Jaguars don't take him at 10, he'll be gone by 15."
Those are the words of Bob Tebow, talking to Sam Kouvaris of Sam Sportsline. Bob Tebow seems convinced of this because Jacksonville doesn't have a second round pick.
So if Tim Tebow doesn't get picked by Jacksonville, and is gone by pick 15, these are the teams that are in contention: Denver, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, New York Giants.
Although I suppose you can make a case here since Denver, Miami and San Francisco really don't have proven franchise quarterback. Seattle probably thinks it does, so it's doubtful they'd take him, but who knows.
But what's concerning about this is that Bob Tebow's quotes came across as so assured. Kouvaris asked him about a scenario where Jacksonville trades down. Bob Tebow came back with "He'll be gone."
What happens when Bob Tebow's son isn't gone by pick 15? What if he isn't gone by the time Jacksonville picks again in the third round (pick 74)?
But in other news, my mother still contends that I'm the most handsome and smart boy around. So, there's that.

Yeah but
It’ll be funny if Tebow’s still there in the third, just to see his dad’s face.

I don't think Seattle thinks its set at QB
Whitehurst isn’t getting paid a ton and he’s got a short contract ($8-10M over 2 years). He
could just turn out to be a guy that will be a caretaker for a QB that may need a few years to develop.
I wouldn’t be happy if the Seahawks grabbed Tebow (especially if they grab him as high as #14), but they appear to be positioning themselves to take a guy who might take a couple of years to develop.
Don't you guys know???
The Tebow family has a direct line to God. That’s why the Tebow patriarch sounds so assured that his son Jesus St. Moses will be a top-15 pick. Any GM that passes on him with be smote by the hand of God himself.
That's why he was told to STFU when he started a group prayer before the Wonderlic
The other prospects didn’t want Tebow to get all the answers for the test from the big guy.
Funny, my dad thinks I'll be drafted in the first round.
And I’m a 27-year-old proofreader who’s never played football.
You could still go in the first round of the 2011 proofreader draft
Never give up.

I don't know guys...
I have this feeling that Tebow is gonna go a lot sooner than we expect. I was thinking like late 20s, but…you never know. I mean, if Darrius Heyward-Bey can go at #8, anything can happen.

Darrius Heyward-Bey was a much better prospect than Tebow
Much, much better. Most people considered him a first round pick at least, Tebow is like a 3rd or 4th rounder.

If God like Tebow...
then he will send him to Buffalo w/ their 2nd rounder. It would be a match made in heaven. Gailey took a very raw QB in KC, Tyler Thigpen, and basically developed a pistol offense to compliment his strengths. I don’t think Thigpen’s throwing mechanics are leaps and bounds better then Tebow’s. Tyler moved that offense in KC and we actually scored a decent amount of points. We had no running game, but Tyler had an escape route with Tony G. If I was Buffalo I would get my LT in the 1st, Tebow in the 2nd, and let him ride the pine his rookie year. I would then get him a TE weapon like Kyle Rudolph (TE, Notre Dame) in the 1st round of the 2011 draft.
Tyler...
by the way ran for over 400 yards in that offense. I could see Tebow doubling that number. They could also do some crazy wild cat stuff with Fred Jackson and line Tebow up as an H-back. They won’t be able to play under center, but a think Marshawn would thrive through draw plays. Go to youtube and type in —> Tyler Thigpen: No Suprise. Tim Tebow is basically a rich mans Thigpen, so I can only imagine the things he can do in Buffalo.

i think that's a really good point
but no one besides us saw Thigpen play. Gailey certainly took a crummy QB (raw at best and untalented at worst) and made him look decent.
Zapp Brannigan/Dayton Moore quote of the day: "Yes, comets! The icebergs of the sky. By jackknifing from one to the next at breakneck speed, we might just get some kinda gravity boost". and also "Kif old friend, I don't know which disgusts me more. Your cowardice or your stupidity! We'll simply set a new course for that empty region over there. Near that black-ish hole-ish thing."

If Tim was your son
I’m sure you’d feel exactly te same way. Any parent in his position would feel their kid was the best, especially with all the success Tim had at college. When he goes in the 3rd round, they need to have EMTs standing by so if his dad has a cardiac arrest, they can revive him.

Its moronic to think he would be taken by Miami
But he would be quite a hit with the gay community.
