Rock out with your mock draft out: Doug Farrar
You may or may not know him, but Doug Farrar is a pretty good football writer. He brings it strong to Football Outsiders, Scout.com, Yahoo!, the Washington Post and anywhere else that doesn't suck.
But, this is "Rock out with your mock draft out," which makes him subject to some good-natured ribbing.
For Yahoo! Sports, he produced a two-part mock. Here is part one. Here is part two. This is all free content.
He goes with the scenario of Sam Bradford going first overall. As that is also my modus operandi, there's not a lot to say about the first seven picks. I do have to say, though, I'm pretty happy this theory is picking up steam. When I put out my last mock, I put Bradford No. 1. Since then, Adam Schefter has come out saying the Rams will take him. And others follow his suit.
I'm not really saying anything here, I'm just saying.
BUT ANYWAY, Farrar kind of stretches to give Oakland wide receiver Dez Bryant. I know Al Davis jokes are, like, totally hilarious. Even for Davis that's crazy. There comes a point when even the most senile know right from wrong. Taking another wide receiver would be the latter. Darrius Heyward-Bey may be a budding bust, but two top 10 wide receivers is rare.
It also stuck out to me that Farrar has Derrick Morgan going with pick 16. According to Internet draft folks, Morgan's draft stock is falling. Why? Who knows. (Hint, this is where you tell me why in the comments)
It was also kind of odd to see Taylor Mays being projected to San Francisco's pick 17. While he may be fast and big, that's about it with Mays. Mostly, it was more of a surprise to see Mays go before Earl Thomas. Different positions, sure. Just strange.
Overall, it's a solid first effort. Make sure to check it out. Farrar's analysis is always sound. Oh, and follow him on Twitter. He's good.
Oh, and speaking of mocks, Dove will have one this week. I should have one next week.

I don't like the draft for the Seahawks
but I don’t think its unlikely or impossible. I think Bulaga at the #6 is kind of reach (and more of a RT) and Spiller at #14 seems like a luxury pick.
Seattle needs a running back.
The Seattle Seahawks offense is driving......right into a brick wall at the end of the tunnel.
Joe Hadens not the first true freshmen to ever start at Florida by the way
Incase anyone was wondering.
Chris Leak just to name one played all 4 years as a starter.

Giants
Kindle is not a good fit for the Giants – he will be too small for DE and will lack the coverage skills to be an OLB.
Throw in we have Sintim who was drafted last year who plays the same role.

Farrar might be a good writer…but his draft pick makes me skeptical of all his draft.
It shows he doesn’t do his HW at all. Kiper is a moron for mocking Kindle to the Giants…so, Farrar is a moron for mocking Kindle to the Giants.
Of course..I’m not gonna say that it can’t happen…it can.
Knowing what a fan or writer knows right now, given who’s on the Giants and what Sergio Kindle is right now….you’d have to be a moron to mock Kindle to the Giants.

I dunno why Morgan's stock is falling
I still see him as a top 5-10 player, but he’s probably not getting drafted there cuz of there being some better players as well as more then a few teams in the top 10 being 3-4 teams, where Morgan doesn’t fit.
This is why he’s BPA type pick to my Giants.
Also, why Farrar is an idiot for choosing Sergio Kindle over Morgan. Kindle would be a DE with the Giants most likely. If he’s a LB, they just declared last year’s 2nd round pick a waste.
