Mock my mock
After getting into it with shake, I decided to take his challenge of picking a couple Colts players to a different level.

I doubt McClain is the Browns’ pick. ILB isn’t that valuable of a position.

I doubt the 49ers agree.
Or the Ravens. SILB is one of the most important positions in a 3-4 defense. McClain is also a leader and one of the smartest football players in this draft. He would instantly be the best player on Cleveland’s defense.
McClain is not Willis or Lewis. And he wouldnt be the best player on our defense, Shaun Rogers would.

Heard Rogers is being shopped.
And how is ILB not a valuable position?

ILB doesn’t make a big impact unless you have a Lewis or Willis. Fine ILBs can be found later in the draft.

The Giants lack any sort of explosiveness in their offense period. Their offensive line struggled mightly last season, but I think they’ll rebound nicely along with Brandon Jacobs this coming season, which will allow Spiller to complement Jacobs quite nicely. Bradshaw is decent, but nothing near what Spiller could provide imo.
Also, I don’t understand why people are infatuated with the 49ers taking Spiller. They have a really nice backfield. Their problem lies in the QB position and offensive line, not running back.

agree, they lack explosiveness.
Well…its not that they don’t have explosive players, but guys like Manningham and Nicks were first year players (at least HAM was playing for the first time)and the running game struggled cuz Jacobs had an MCL tear from week one on, and Bradshaw had 2 broken feet after week one.
…kinda need your feet and your MCL…or at least they help.
Spiller would be a nice weapon to add. As a part time RB, slot WR, KR/PR, its a nice weapon to have.

Good stuff, better than most I see here.
and I like McCourty, just not as much as Brown ; )
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.
Love the Mays pick for the Raiders
Crazy man Al loves his speed so I could see that happening. Thank you for the Dunlap pick. I would prefer either Iupati or Earl Thomas there, since they were both available, but Reid loves his Dline and O Line men so I could defintely see the draft unfolding like this. Good job.

Not with almighty Will Allen just signed. If you guys get Arnez Battle next, watch out AFC North. I would be so afraid.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
No more kickoff returns!
I'm getting tired of saying this: Dick LeBeau’s system is so complex very few rookies can make an impact.
Dan Williams may be a reach
but he will be a damn good NT

Cardinals
The Cardinals look to be stacking themselves with OLB prospects prior to the draft. It seems less and less likely they go with a pass rusher in the first round. Doesn’t mean they won’t though.
I would think NT would be top need
A TE would be beneficial too, and if Gresham is there at the end of first I could see the cardinals going that route.

Interesting selection for the Vikings.
This is the first mock I have seen with Best as the 1st round choice. I can see the logic of this pick (replacing Taylor) if Best is rated high enough. If I were picking in this draft I would think about Trent Williams as being the BPA. But he only plays RT and isn’t versatile enough to fit the Vikings Zone blocking. Odrick would be my second pick.
I like the mock in general but why didn’t you have Seattle protect their QB. They need offensive line help in the worst way.
Winning is not everything but it sure feels like it sometimes
agree on the Seattle thing
With Walter Jones done, A T is an absolute necessity. Hasslebeck at least has another year in him so a QB in the second seems viable for Seattle.

I understand where you are coming from, I just didn’t think a OT happened to be the BPA when the Seahawks picked. Basically, they got screwed. haha

I cannot see
Jahvid Best going to the Vikings at 30. They have more needs than that and would rather have a backup banger than a small quick guy

Don't think I agree with you on the Vikings
The Vikings ALWAYS pick BPA. They have a back-up banger on the bench and just lost Chester Taylor to Free Agency. I see a small quick guy as a viable alternative. The only question in my mind is whether or not Best is the BPA. I don’t have him rated this high but I understand somebody rating him higher than me. I like Odrick a lot. Pouncy is also available to the Vikes. So is Charles Brown.
This draft puts the Vikings in the spot of absolutely the least options available to them. That tells me it was a pretty good mock draft. At least for putting the best 30 players on the board.
