Rock out with your mock draft out: Rick Gosselin
Rick Gosseling of the Dallas Morning News is regarded at the most-accurate mock draft maker around. He put out his first mock draft of the year on April 12.
He's back with his second mock of the year, featuring a lot of changes.Gosselin says the first mock was based mostly on best player available while the second version is based more on team need.
Most surprisingly, he has Washington taking Jimmy Clausen fourth overall. His basis is that Donovan McNabb is 34 during the season. I question it because it's hard to believe a team even as spend-happy as Washington would use the fourth pick on a backup quarterback. It would immediately put McNabb in the same situation as he was in Philadelphia with an up-in-coming quarterback behind him. Except this time it would be more pressure-filled considering Clausen's draft position.
Gosselin isn't a writer who doesn't do his own analysis, though. He's the kind of writer who relies on contacts throughout the league and bases his mocks on what they say.
Other head scratchers:
8. Oakland - Kyle Wilson | CB | Boise State
12. Miami - Ryan Mathews | RB | Fresno State
27. Dallas - Dez Bryant | WR | Oklahoma State
Since this one was based on needs, a lot of it isn't too much of an issue. But it will be interesting to see Gosselin's mock once he combines the two.

The Chiefs pick sucks, too.
We need help on the interior, both on Defense and on Offensive Line and not a Left Tackle.
Our glaring needs are: Safety, Nose Tackle, Linebacker, Center, Right Guard (unless Lilja takes it), and Wide Receiver.
