Make sure to enter the mock draft contest
We only have 18 entries in the mock draft contest. This makes me frown faced. Remember, we have to have 50 for the contest to go live, so spread the word! The current entrants are on the homepage in the left-hand rail. If I missed you, comment in this post with your mock URL.
Here are the particulars:
RULES:
• Your mock has to be one round and put in a Fan Post.
• You get one official entry and has to be in by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21.
• A point will be given for every correct team/player projection. For instance, you get one point by saying St. Louis will take Sam Bradford. You'll also get a point if you project the team to take a correct player, even if it's a traded pick. For instance, let's say Jacksonville trades back into the first round and takes Tim Tebow, even though you had that projected as the 10th pick. You'll get a point. Get it? If not, leave a comment asking for better explanation.
• Here's the biggest catch: The contest will only be "live" once we have 50 entries. We're doing one per person, so that might mean that you, lovely reader, may have to get people to join the fun.
• We won't limit it to 50 entries, though. I'll grade as many as we get sometime Thursday night/Friday morning.
• To be clear on what your official entry is, when you put up a mock put asterisks on both sides of the headline. So it would be *Danny K's super dooper mock of craziness*
• I get an entry.• Anyone can enter, even other SBN writers.
• The prize will be the standard MTD $20 right from my pocket. To enter, you have to have Paypal.

Question
What if a team trades out of or into the first round? Is that team just “voided” for each mock draft? Or can we predict it? I’ll be posting my draft in the next few hours btw…
You can still predict it. I’m looking simply for correct team/player picks. Doesn’t matter where that pick happens, as long as it’s the first round.
Mocking the Draft: Talking NFL Draft all year.
what if...
say the jets trade out of 1st round with browns 2nd round pick- and browns get colt mccoy at pick 29… should I have the trade or will it not matter since the Browns already used their one first round pick and didn’t originally have two?
Of course none of this matters unless 50 people do the mock draft…..
if they get a second pick then that is fine. As long as you have team and player matched then your good.

Question
I put in an entry a while ago, but never put the asterisks in between them. Does my entry still count? I need to know ASAP.
The 2010 New York Mets: Maybe it's the Phillies' turn to have 95% of its roster on the DL
The 2009 New England Patriots: At least we got our division title back
The 2009-10 New Jersey Devils: 15 games to go!
I didn't notice that beforehand.
Thanks, man.

If you look at this comment in Foilhat’s mock, it looks like he might be intending his Fanpost to be his entry.
It was supposed to be my entry
i do not and won’t have a paypal acct so I will take my winnings in monopoly money please.
same I have one and no paypal will go for bragging rights if I win. Got a fanpost a while back but will do a new one updated.

ve, ack I've hit the ENTER key by mistake
as I was saying I’ve already posted a mockery draft and did so for free and it’s totally perfect and won’t cause any problems at all so just hand the money over right now and be done with it. :-)
