We have a very special event in store for MtD readers tonight. We will have our first podcast of the 2010 NFL Draft, one of several we have planned. On our plate tonight, I'll discuss my impressions from the pre-Draft events I attended today in New York. These events included interviews with NFLN's Mike Mayock, Marshall Faulk, and Steve Mariucci. I also had the opportunity to talk to Russell Okung, Trent Williams, and Rob Gronkowski about the whole draft experience.

After a couple run ins with Viator, I gave a lot of thought to my anti-Tebowism and have grown to respect his opinion on the matter. I see where he’s coming from in his special man crush sort of way. However V, what you fail to mention in these arguments is the fact that for every one of rational you, there are hundreds, if not thousands, threatening not to buy tickets, trying to hold a franchise hostage. Fake, fairweather Jagator fans with more loyal to a college QB who is a big WHAT IF? – like you said – than to this team. That inspires a lot of anger and animosity in people and why you get arguments like this, like mine, like GA, etc, etc, etc.
So yes, I blame the zombies. They brought out the extremism in all of us, even the ones of us who weren’t to begin with. I just didn’t think he would be good in the NFL, but found myself so angered by the thought that people would openly lobby against our hometown team because they might not agree with their assessment that I became more anti-Tebow than ever. And I’m actually willing to get behind the guy if we take him. Can the pro-Tebow movement say the same if we don’t take him?
