Use this thread to talk about the ongoing NFL Draft. We'll probably make a new thread when this one gets to 500 comments or so.
There have been no huge surprises or trades so far. However, I'm a sad panda after Eric Berry got picked by Kansas City and not Cleveland.
Oh well, that's the fun of the NFL Draft. Let your opinion be known here.
Here's the rundown of the first five picks:
1. St. Louis - Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
2. Detroit - Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
3. Tampa Bay - Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma

I don't understand
I thought Fred Jackson was the real deal last year. Four needs should’ve trumped Spiller (QB, LT, NT, WR). He’s awesome, but it’s not like they’ll use him in the return game with all of their other returners. And the craziest part is that they jumped on him in like 1 minute, meaning they knew he was their guy.

Guys I figured it out. When the Raiders selected McClain, they caused a tiny rip in the border between chaos and reason. That influence the Bills enough to draft Spiller, causing more rips. Alualu being picked has caused a universal mindfuck. Look outside, I guarantee you see pigs flying and giraffes growing on trees.

Quick review of the top 10 draft picks
1. Rams – Bradford. No brainer, nice pick. A
2. Lions – Suh. No brainer part 2. Poor Suh “Noooo Not Detroit!” still and all, A
3. Bucs – McCoy. No brainer part 3. Very nice pick. A
4. Redskins – Trent Williams. Slight surprise, but it works. A
5. Chiefs – Berry. No brainer part 4. Nice pick. A
6. Seahawks – Okung. They need the OT. Nice pick. A
7. Browns – Haden. Cornerback wasn’t THE need but still a big one. Nice pick. A
8. Raiders – McClain. Huge surprise. For one thing, he’s a good player that makes sense. They could have gone OT but this works. Did they lock Al Davis in a closet? Very nice pick. A
9. Bills – Spiller. Huge surprise. RB wasn’t on the scouting need list. Good player but the Bills have needs elsewhere. B-

For a DT or DE pick, Alualu made no sense. There were DTs like Odrick and Cody still on the board. There were other DEs on the board ranked higher. This made no sense.
