PrintFinally, Jimmy Clausen was taken in the 2010 NFL Draft. He went 48th overall to the Carolina Panthers. That was one of the more "normal" picks of the second round.
The Browns surprised by picking Oregon safety TJ Ward. Miami went with Koa Misi instead of Sergio Kindle as a pass rusher. Buffalo went with Torell Troup over Linval Joseph to play nose tackle.
Oakland continued a great draft, to everyone's surprise. And, of course, New England made a coup selecting tight end Rob Gronkowski.
But in a draft where the unexpected has come to be expected, I guess we can't be too shocked.
There are still a lot of talented players in the draft. When they get taken, use this as your first open thread for discussion.

Which was a shocker considering the needs at WR and CB. While the Bucs got a WR later in the Second, getting Price was a shock

I had him as an early to Mid 3rd. I understood the McCluster pick but not this one
Vincent Jackson, Malcolm Floyd, Demaryius Thomas are all huge. We need big Corners in this division. Oh well. I think he is better than Kareem Jackson and he went in the 1st.

but those three all have fairly high bust factors. but thats just my opinion. Mays can’t cover. Davis is lazy. iupati is extremely raw.

but great toughness and intangibles.
Some like Thomas more than Berry, some like Berry more than Thomas. Who really knows.

The consensous is Berry
He is just as good in coverage and a way better tackler. I like Earl Thomas but he doesnt have the talent that Berry does.

How? He is slower and not as strong. Mayock is the only person that has him higher and that is for a reason. I dont see how he could be more athletic when he is slower and not as strong. I know you’re saying this because you guys picked him, but Berry was a top 5 pick for a reason. He is more talented. Whether that translates on the feild is a different story.
