Mock of the Wild 3: Three wild rounds
Version 3 of the exciting Mock of the Wild. The first three rounds. There aren't any trades here.
First round
- St. Louis Rams
Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame
Clausen does everything as good or a little better than Bradford, and he stays healthy. The Rams need a franchise quarterback. - Detroit Lions
Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
The Lions must protect Matthew Stafford. Jeff Backus stays with the Lions and switches to right tackle, locking down what was the weakest position on the line in 2009. - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
BPA - Washington Redskins
Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma
With the retirement of Chris Samuels, the Redskins don't have a franchise left tackle. They get one here. Shanahan also took an offensive tackle in his first draft with the Broncos. - Kansas City Chiefs
Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama
The Chiefs need defensive leadership. McClain fits the KC defense like a glove. The Chiefs hope to pick up an OT later on. - Seattle Seahawks
C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
Pete Carroll loves dynamic running backs, and he can get his franchise left tackle with the 14th pick.
- Cleveland Browns
Dan Williams, NT, Tennessee
With his legal situation, Shaun Rogers might not be available for the whole 2010 season, and after that it's hit or miss anyway. The Browns will not run to the podium because this means they are passing on Eric Berry, but nose tackle is a critical need that must be filled. - Oakland Raiders
Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
Al Davis is ready to move on at the quarterback position, and Bradford is a Heisman winner. The Raiders will look for an offensive tackle later. - Buffalo Bills
Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa
With their top choices already off the board, the Bills settle for a franchise left tackle. - Jacksonville Jaguars
Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
Best player available. - Denver Broncos
Eric Berry, Safety, Tennessee
Best player available - Miami Dolphins
Jared Odrick, DT/DE, Penn State
The perfect fit for the Miami defense - San Francisco 49ers
Joe Haden, CB, Florida
BPA - Seattle Seahawks
Charles Brown, OT, USC
The Seahawks snag their left tackle, Charles Brown, a player Carroll knows well. - New York Giants
Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech
Add punch to the defense with the best 4-3 defensive end available. - Tennessee Titans
Everson Griffen, DE, USC
The Titans need a pass rusher and they like guys from USC. - San Francisco 49ers
Mike Iupati, G, Idaho
The 49ers need an upgrade at right tackle, too, but they will fill that need later. Right now, they want to play smash-mouth football. - Pittsburgh Steelers
Maurkice Pouncey, C, Florida
With uncertainty at quarterback, the Steelers decide to improve the offense by adding to the line. - Atlanta Falcons
Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida
The Falcons need a great pass-rushing end, and they draft a great athlete. - Houston Texans
Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State
The Texans have playmakers throughout the offense, but not at the running back position. - Cincinnati Bengals
Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State
The Bengals take the best player available and wave off any character concerns. - New England Patriots
Brandon Graham, DE/OLB, Michigan - Green Bay Packers
Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers - Philadelphia Eagles
Sean Weatherspoon, OLB, Missouri - Baltimore Ravens
Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma
- Arizona Cardinals
Roger Saffold, OT, Indiana
He would be ranked higher if he had gone to a bigger school. The Cardinals need to protect southpaw Matt Leinart's blind-side. - Dallas Cowboys
Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
With the release of Flozell Adams, this is a lock. - San Diego Chargers
Terrence Cody, NT, Alabama
- New York Jets
Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State
Who are they going to throw at now? - Minnesota Vikings
Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama - Indianapolis Colts
John Jerry, OT, Ole Miss
The Colts will rank Jerry higher than most prognosticators. The Colts see all those offensive tackles flying off the board and decide they need to get theirs right here. - New Orleans Saints
Taylor Mays, OLB, USC - St. Louis Rams
Daryl Washington, OLB, TCU - Detroit Lions
Brian Price, DT, UCLA
Anthony Hargrove will stay a Saint. - Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame
- Kansas City Chiefs
Cam Thomas, NT, North Carolina - Philadelphia Eagles
Jon Asamoah, G, Illinois - Cleveland Browns.
Tim Tebow, QB, Florida - Oakland Raiders
Vladimir Ducasse, OT, Massachusetts
- San Diego Chargers
Jahvid Best, RB, California - Buffalo Bills
Dan LeFevour, QB, Central Michigan - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida
- Miami Dolphins
Torrell Troup, NT, Central Florida
- New England Patriots
Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers
- Denver Broncos.
Sean Lee, ILB, Penn State
- New York Giants
Donald Butler, ILB, Washington
- New England Patriots
Nate Allen, FS, South Florida - Carolina Panthers
Carlton Mitchell, WR, South Florida - San Francisco 49ers
Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
The 49ers thought they could fill their need for a right tackle later on. It turns out, though, that they'll be trying for one of the later-round guys. They missed out on Ducasse. - Kansas City Chiefs
Jerry Hughes, DE/OLB, TCU - Houston Texans

Jared Veldheer, OT, Hillsdale - New England Patriots
Demariyous Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech - Cincinnati Bengals

HATE the John Jerry pick
they can get a RT much much later and even though I’m not a fan of Diem continuing to run him out there at RT won’t kill the O.
McCourty or Price in the 1st. Wootton in the 2nd to fill Raheem’s starter level snaps that are currently unaccounted for, and get their OT in the 3rd with Jason Fox or Kyle Calloway.
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.
Just how deeply can your senses be wrong? With some VR goggles, a camera and a touch on the back researchers were able to overcome a person's sense of being inside their own body.
OT
I think the Colts need an offensive tackle, and John Jerry is the kind of player that one team is going to like early.

what's with ppl giving carolina carlton mitchell
he can easily be had with a later round pick….
He had a great pro day and will probably be a second or third rounder.
So its not a given he will be available later.
Plus he is tall and fast, a good complement to Steve Smith.

I was kind of surprised Walt Thurmond III is on here...
Don’t get me wrong he definately has the talent and I have seen him carry the Ducks to victory before but I don’t think he will go that high because of his knee injury.
He’s now going in the third round according to CBS Sports.

Thank you. Probably going linebacker at #88 then.

That's a little much on the defensive line for the Giants
but I guess that’s too much value to pass up?
Penetrating and Devastating!
