Ohio State's Cameron Heyward keeps modest goals
"I want to be the best. I want to be the most dominant who ever played."
That's what Ohio State senior defensive lineman Cameron Heyward told Doug Lesmerises of the Plain Dealer. That is the expectation Heyward has given himself.
The hybrid end/tackle wants to fashion his 2010 season after the 2009 seasons of Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy. It's a lofty challenge, but Heyward will be given every opportunity by defensive coordinator Jim Heacock.
Last season, Heacock said Heyward played in about 60 percent of the defense's snaps. This year, he intends to play Heyward on 80 or 90 percent of the plays.
By comparison, Suh played in 91 to 92 percent of Nebraska's plays on defense.
In three seasons, Heyward has 115 tackles, 24.5 tackles for a loss and 12 sacks. By comparison, Suh had 24 tackles for loss and 12 sacks in 2009 alone.

I caught a couple of OSU games down the stretch in 2009
and dude can be a beast. He’s definitely worth watching.
"Lord, beer me strength."
Good for him.
Motivate yourself to work as hard as you can. If he pulls off a monster year, this quote will only help him.
