Boise State receivers excel at spring pro day
Most universities hold pro days during spring practice. The numbers are typically passed onto national scouting services BLESTO and National Scouting and used in the school's media guides.
Boise State held their spring pro day last Friday. Among those working out were receivers Austin Pettis and Titus Young. NFL scouts are allowed to watch seniors work out, but not juniors.
Pettis and Young, both seniors, ran very good times. Young, who is 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. Pettis, who is 6-foot-3 and 201 pounds, ran the 40 in the high 4.4-second range.
The two seniors give Boise State one of the best wide receiver tandems in the nation. Pettis, a first-team all-conference performer in 2009, had 63 receptions for 855 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. In our initial top 75, we have Pettis rated as the 43rd best overall player.
Young, whom we don't have ranked yet, had 79 receptions for 1,041 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

Pettis played high school ball in the same league as my high school
So I used to watch him all the time back then. He’s definitely a baller, there’s really not much not to like about him.
