Around SBN: Despite Relocation Drama, Coyotes Overcome Adversity

This was not a huge surprise, but the official announcement was all what people were waiting for. Unga was BYU's all time leading rusher, but projects to be a fullback in the NFL.

All-time leading rusher at BYU

But is projected to play FB in NFL. He can catch out of the backfield which is a plus

Yeah, I’ll have some supp draft thoughts on the players in a couple weeks.

As for Unga specifically, I’ll be surprised if he garners more than a fifth.

Because I’m certifiably supplemental draft insane…

Harvey Unga vs. TCU

I’m curious as to whether Unga will be drafted as a RB or a FB. Because of his power and fall-forward running style, I could see a team trying him out as a short yardage back. However I’m not sure he possesses the burst to be effective in that role, kind of like how the late-career Jamal Lewis wasn’t good at moving the chains in Cleveland.

Ultimately, his best role, as Jeremy noted, may be as a fullback in a West Coast offense. Whether he gets drafted for that spot may depend on how fast/slow he runs his 40s.

He reminds me of one of the Chargers fullbacks

Mike Tolbert. He was kinda miss cast in that role, and should finally see more carries in the tailback position. Beast special teamer, and good at catching the rock; I would think Unga would be the same.

IMO

Jeremy Jarmon was picked by the Skins in the 3rd in 09 by the skins.

I will no longer use my sig as a way of predicting things as I seem to be a kiss of death to the poor kids I big up so much.
