PrintHey fans everyone is welcome and actually asked to come discuss this game with us. We got the bengals with TO and Chad Johnson against the Cowboys tonight at 8ET on NBC. Some may not care to watch the game but others that are like me are just ready for any football as we want it back and here it comes.

So I basically kicked the shit out my laptop while working on my typing skills (I stilled it so that my mom could learn how to type) because I was making stupid mistakes. I hit it so hard that it shut off. Thank goodness it came back on after a few minutes.

Went on a batshit crazy banning/warning/censoring binge because people argued with his viewpoints on a couple of football issues. He proceeded to piss off a large amount of the regulars and then copped the attitude of, “Too bad, if you don’t like the way I run my site, piss off.”

Long story short?
The head writer decided that he could personally attack writers and readers alike, then got paranoid and determined that any comment or post written on any subject which he had already pontificated on that was not a direct praise of his logical and rational conclusions and articles was simply trolling and instigation.
I was the first domino to fall (atleast really fall). I wrote an article on the different types of health players can portray, and BBS went psycho and deleted every post I wrote and issued a ban warning without apologizing for deleting everything. Then when I was trying to figure out what he was pissed with he decided I wasn’t worth talking to anymore and banned me saying, “You are just being a child. I’m putting you in time out. Come talk to me in a week and maybe I’ll unban you.”
That was followed by numerous attempts to reason with him by other members, and ultimately 3 or 4 people got banned simply for talking to him.

I only talked to dan about this game which he is at. I just want us to get some other fans involved if we stay here and think we should just do games here. I am thinking that we may do preseason here or we could go to the other teams sites to interact with the other fans that way for the games.

Maybe I’m just in denial and BBS is really the greatest thing since sliced Ricky Lake, but Stampede Blue is on a network that offers great support, is covering one of the most successful teams in the NFL, and has the most visible player in the NFL. They get a ton of great perks, like the recent FO interviews. They have great commenting software and great interaction between blogs. I think they get most of hte credit for page views.

So, how do your Hawkeyes look this year? They lost a lot of starters on D. Angerer, Edds/Epps?, Spievey. And Moeaki on O.
lost 3 starters on D, 4.5 on O
I’m not worried about the D. Largely because they brought the whole DL back, they’re awesome.
The cause for concern is that they have only 1 O-lineman they can count to play well and only one other with significant starting experience. Throw in losing a great blocking TE like Moeaki and this season looks like it’ll tax Ferentz’s fantastic OL coaching skills to the limit.
Luckily the D should be fantastic and they have way more skill position talent than is normal for Iowa.

Clayborn is pure meast, Christian Ballard actually became a bigger force against the pass when they moved him from DE to DT, Brodderick Binns will probably lead the team in passes defensed again despite never dropping into coverage due to his freakish wingspan, Karl Klug is a poor man’s Mitch King.

The ND fanbase is waiting w/baited breath to see what Brian Kelly will do. I’ve been cautiously optimistic for the past 6 or 7 years and that’s never worked out for me, so this time I’m thinking about being wildly pessimistic. 0-12.

he's not a running QB
but he’s mobile and can run for his life pretty well if it comes to that (he outran Titans 1st round pick, GT DE, Derrick Morgan for a big 1st down in the Orange Bowl).

yeah. The whole 2nd half he kept launching deep balls. In the 3rd quarter, going into the wind they got picked over and over and over. Then they flipped sides and Iowa came roaring back on deep strikes with the wind.

For me the biggest thing was more he was demanding readers and writers to be ultra professional
which in and of itself wasn’t a bad thing. What was my problem is that he could act like an immature child wielding a shotgun. If you didn’t do what he said, he’d shoot you, and he could shoot anyone he liked, but you had better play by his rules or else.
His motivations didn’t put me off nearly so much as his general behavior towards anyone he did not consider worthy of his time.

I assume you were doing that podcast I saw.
How did it end up working out? I think it would be interesting to do a podcast after every game, like once a week where 2 or 3 of us on CZ just have a little bit of a public pow-wow. You know, just talk about developments that week and things we’ve been working on/found interesting over the past week.
I don’t know, I’ve seen it done other places, and I think it would be something interesting to do, but I don’t know if anyone would actually care to listen to a bunch of guys talking about the Colts, especially when its not our job.

I fell asleep about 3 hours before the game
and when i woke up about halfway through the game, I decided sleep was more valuable than watching back ups/TC fodder from teams I don’t care about.

I know that this is a positive quote from Caldwell:
